Gear to get

I have 315 arena points from losing 10 games in the 5v5 arena and hope to have another 300 or so points in a week. I will slowly save my points to get some good gear.
I now also have 12,000 honor and saw that I can start to buy S2 gear from the honor vendor's.

The shield is about 10k and the S2 weapon is 25k. Given I will not likely ever get 1600 or even about 1500 in arena, what gear should I buy from Honor, what gear should I buy from welfare arena points and what gear should I buy from Honor badges?

For the Elem Shammys: I want PVP gear. I think that can also be used relatively easily in 5m heroic instances (all I need there is spell damage and crit).

For the Pally, I want gear that would be good for herioc tanking. That shield and S2 weapon looks good on that front. The spell damage is better than I can get from Conntiumum blade

Please help me in determining what gear should be purchased with honor, which should be purchased with arena points and which with heroic badges.

Without question, I'd get the s2 mace ASAP and throw +40 spell damage enchant on there (for your shamans and pally). It's a no-brainer. You'll pick up well over 200 damage with just that one upgrade (and the enchant on it). You'd go from 48 spell damage weapon to 265 spell damage on your weapon. That will give you 50% more total damage.

With arena points i woud have saved got brutal gloves (s4) 1175AP.
And then if you get 1600 rating legs... if you dont. then get the s3 head or chest. Since you wont get that in a loooong time untill you really gear up som.

Honor: first Priority is s2 wepon with enchant like the guy above says. Then i would have taken the shild, since there is hard to get any nice dps shilds other then those, and the armor will save some lifes..
After wep and shild, i would have taken the s4 honor items first, Belt and neck. Then bracors asap when you get 1575(ibelive) rating. In the meen time after belt and nech you can go for s2 parts or s3 boots(you wont get any better untill you get high rating)

When it comes to back. If you are able to farm some heroics then get the 60x BoJ backs, they are imba.

Trinket and rings: i use the trinket from last boss in SP heroics. I also use the shoulders from there. So if you figur you will farm heroics for the backs. then go SP as a priority, untill you get the shoulders and trinkets. I use the normal pvp trinket with 45 resilions on my main (he had way to much honor so there was no point in not buying it) and i just have the overlord trinkets + SP trinket on the alts.
You might considure buying the s3 ring asap aswell.. And just use the KZ rink on the second slot untill you get rating to buy s4 ring instead. There is also a nice JC ring that most JC can make for you kinda cheap. I use that atm since i dont wanna go KZ. :P

Also... Totem of void is a must if you dont have it.. Go farm Mech normal chestes if not

EDIT: after looking at your gear. I can tell you that my first week of 5v5 a munth back i had lot worse gear then you have atm and i was still wining a few. Try to get your spirit up and win some

I have my enchanting upto 340, is that +40 dmg chant the one off ahune? or can you get it elsewhere? and is it BOP? i havn't tried the ahune event.. but doubt i can do it

No, the one out of ahune is Frostbite (add 150ish frost dmg now and then) Not really what you want...

The + 40 spell dps is a BoP scroll from a heroic or KZ, i dont really know.. but just ask a pve guild and they will have someone that can help you do it for sure. Lots of ppl have it..

There's some of those ethereals spawn just east of the druid village. I got them way before I hit 70.

Go to maxdps.com and see the formula for elemental shammy gear.

That should give you a dps number for each item. And compare the dps for new items. So you see hot much dps upgrade you can get.

Also, when I grind, it depends on what you run. I find I have 100 AV and 100 EotS compared to 50 AB and 20 WSG.

For AV weekend, grind honor without worrying too much on tokens. Then just use up the honor to buy with AV tokens to get geared faster.
