Thread: New Setup

    Default New Setup

After messing around with multiple cards on one system, and not getting the results I liked, I decided to go for the twin system route linked via keyclone and KaVoom KM.

Intial setup sees me running 60+ fps on the main and 40-50fps on each of the four slaves. the slaves are running off 22" widesreens that have been rotated through 90 to keep the aspect ratio correct.

Here are both pc specs and a shot of the setup

Very nice setup... I have a similar 1 Main + 4 Secondary setup, using Kavoom, but only 1 monitor on the second PC... seeing yours, I'm tempted to add a second and rotate both

Ignore the second keyboard/mouse, this snapshot was a few days before discovering the wonders of Kavoom

    quick update:

After spending the day running this setup i'm getting the following results
between 60-110fps (average mid-high 70's) on my main pc (1,920x1200 4xAA most things maxed out) and between 40-100fps (average mid 60's) on each of my other characters running on the second machine - makes the game very enjoyable. as the 4 other characters are running at 1050x840 (1xAA mimimum detail) , I don't have to use keyclone to swap screens,as everything is readable

I recommend this type of setup to anyone looking to upgrade.
