Most efficient AV strategy?

I had an interesting experience today:

1. Blow up enemy captain.
2. Make sure your randoms are guarding capped towers.
3. Rush enemy keep, get GY then towers (this will result in a fast game vs time).
4. When randoms have moved into the enemy keep, recall to your home base, rush your general's room, pop fire elementals, defensive totems and start circular chain heals.
5. Your randoms will kill enemy general, while you destroy enemy randoms at the general.
6. Win fast, with 400+ honor.

Do not stop and kill anyone.

Ride straight into South Bunker and cap.

At this point the rest of the team will either take N. Bunker or you'll have to do it after S. Bunker Caps.

In anycase you want to avoid a Turtle. I can farm +200 HKs in one AV. But killing them all while playing D is great for the ego, 23 min AVs for 590 honor is <<<<<< than 400 honor AV losses in 10 min.

On AV weekend you'll notice Alliance doesnt even try to take Snowfall. Thus causing a turtle if they die becase they become resistance to the Bunkers and Aid Station. Do not kill anyone you dont have to. Cap Bunkers and its gg. Its better for the honor grind to lose every AV on Bonus weekend in 10 min, then to win every game and have it take 30min.

Personally I have a low self esteem and lead a very boring life that makes me angry. So I just play D, save Galv, and destory any Alliance that comes within Lightning Bolt Range. +200 Hks makes me feel good :P

Hahahaha... For months I was so bored and frustrated with WoW, that I could hang out for hours and hours in Nagrand and gank people. I would take a screenshot every time I ganked someone.. and I think there are well over 1000 screenshots in total in my old WoW folder.

I also came to the conclusion that defending is never good for your honor income. Ignore players, go full offense. Take towers fast and make the AV end as soon as possible, in any way.

In my experience this advice works slightly better for Alliance. In my group, it seems to me that Alliance loses everything consistently except AV. In AV Alliance wins about 60% of the zergs and less than 50% of the turtles. (This is all my personal observation, though. I could be completely wrong on the actual percentages.)

Also, wouldn't queue times figure into this? Isn't it better to grind low-honor kills in a turtle than get no honor at all waiting for your next AV to come up?

Given these factors, you probably need to compare the chance of winning with either strat, the amount of bonus honor, the average length of each game type, and the average wait between AVs before deciding what strat to use. Then you need to convince your whole side to follow your advice.

I have an average of 1250honor/hour in AV.
Did 44wins this weekend in 48 played games. Always defending (choking point near IB) and motivating (at least trying) other players (never more than 10 others) to defend. I motivate them first by sending a message (nice one ) while in the starting spawn point and working hard . Defending Galva, getting towers back or even capturing bunkers and defend them till validated.
If ally waves stop coming I either capture and defend one of the bunkers or go north and attack SP gy passing under the bridge. If all already taken I just (try) rush past the bridge (it's successful most of the times) and get into one of DB bunkers, capture and defend it.

It's great to def, quite rewarding in terms of satisfaction, very motivating for others watching the carnage and superb for the flow of the bg.

I take objectives until complete. Objective = honor, despite of who wins or lose.

1. Stonehearth Bunker. Staggered Searing/Grounding/Healing or Mana/Earthbind spam every 30 seconds. Watch entrance for quick targetting, and nuking as they climb up the steps.

2. Balinda is the noob team did not take her out.

3. Icewing Bunker if it isn't burned, or cap.

4. North.

Usually, by this time, Van is almost dead, or Alliance has won.

When I am Prot Spec on the Tank, I Salv the Shamans and tank Van +1.
