Default Dangerous liaison.... for lack of a better title

So after a couple of days, some ganking and some lvls later it's time to make my way to Swamp of Sorrows.

This is when I had the funniest Alliance run-in yet. At this point I've sneaked along the mountains through Dusk Woods and just collected the quest from the horde folk at the tower bordering on Dusk Woods and Dead-Wind pass.

As I'm heading down from the tower back onto the road i notice a fight between high lvl horde and alliance. I turn and run off through dead-wind pass hoping they didn't notice me. After checking in my rear-view multiple times I notice one of them did see me.

As Laureesa closes I stop running and turn to face her but don't make any aggressive moves. She (female NE hunter) stays mounted and we trade some /wave and /bow gestures and just when I think it's over another 70 shows up on his saber mount. This is Funkmonk, who is, if you check his profile, a serious pvp'r and I've often seen him inside Org and UC killing flagged high lvl horde. So I figure after I'm paste but it doesn't happen.

Funkmonk gets off his mount and checks me out, then I see him start casting a purple spell, great here comes a mind-blast... nope he MC'd one of my shaman to move him out. After he did it a second time I figure I should spread them out for him, and so I do. I get all my toons into dancing. These two are just enjoying this too much.

    Then things get really interesting.

This poor sod named Szatmar comes running up to us from Dusk wood, sees me and the 70's around me, and then runs past further into dead wind pass.

Funkmonk does the following which totally caught me off guard:

    I'm like HELL YEAH!!!!

I run to catch this 44 mage who didn't expect to get ganked with 70's around. I caught him quickly because he must have been afk running and got snagged on a raised part of the bridge you can seen in the back ground. In goes the grenade and I close and open with the Shaman. It's over so quickly they laugh and chatter about.

Now he casts Rez on this poor fool but the Mage doesn't rez. LOL I wonder why. He probably figures he's going to be a punching bag for his fellow alliance amusement.
We bow and wave and Funkmonk mounts up and flies off and I run my way.

This has to be the most mature and hilarious moment I've ever had with a serious pvp'er.

Hahah great story! I've survived a few possible gankings by multibox dancing or spouting emotes but nothing quite like this...LOL.

I wish that would happen to me. I was leveling my hunters in northshire, and some horde were there leaving most everyone alone, but they kept corpse camping me so much, I had to log and play another group. Really annoying.

The spacing out my toons and dancing kept me from getting crushed again last night in Hillsbrad.

I had that happen in Winterspring with a level 70 hunter. I saw him ride up, and knew he'd probably attack (at this gear level, a single multishot usually took out 2-3 of my shaman) I decided I wouldn't just roll over and die, so I spread formation and plunked down 16 totems. He ran within striking distance of me and dismounted, and then a staring contest started. I had him targetted and had my finger on the button ready to go while I watched him target each of my shaman in turn. To my surprise, he /laughed, /waved, and then went about his business.

A few days later I noticed a post on our realm forums about me had been updated, by the hunter. He talked about seeing me in Winterspring and said it was hilarious to see a little one-man army drop a forest of totems and stare him down. He was a good sport about it.

When my Priest was still on a PvP server I used to Mind Control lowbies and buff them to break it... Soon as you hit them with fort and their health goes "down" they freak out. So fun. -- Then they wonder why I run off, see the fort, and catch up and start /thanking me. XD
