I'm currently running Bartender as it's what I'm used to but planning on switching to Trinity.. the ability to be able to have more, longer macros than the normal WoW system would allow is just too tempting for multiboxing.
Really I didnt know that was a feature of Trinity. So does it also have its own macro editor as well???Originally Posted by 'Molt',index.php?page=Thread&postID=80129#post8012 9

yes trinity has it's owne macro editor, basiclaly you set the key to be a marco and then you write the macro for that key. I have used all the popular bar mods out there and Trinity2 is one of the best IMO most flexable. also it has a function where you set to be in key binding mode, you hover over the button you want to key bind and press the key or series of keys and it is keybound, just turn off the keybinding mode and you have sucessfuly set key bindings.

Trinity is far more suited for a Multiboxer. If gives us the ability to do many things as well as unlimited number of macros and a far larger size of macros, macro directly into the keys, easier direct binding system, and many many other features....imo its only downside is how long it takes to initiatlly get configured and working for your taste.

basically you have a customisable action bar in which you can open up an editor for each button and set a macro of any length (well very long at least). there is also an option to create hidden buttons. these are stored and can be keybound and don't show on your screen. If you've seen some peoples vids taken from a clone, some of them have barely any buttons showing. Just note, there is a limited number of hidden macros you can have until it runs out of space, but you could potentially have 500 buttons on your screen if you wanted that many macros ^^
so yesit has it's own macro editor
EDIT: only problem is setting up all the macros that come to mind ^^ once i found this mod i spent a whole day making and setting up new macros :P It took me a while to find the macro editor. If you install it, it shows a minimap icon similar to the druid flight form icon.
left click will open up a few options. Rightclick will bring up a hidden buttons console, so you can add one you want hidden away. and Shift + Rclick brings up the bar/macro editor for each button (macros under the 3rd tab)
just thought that might save you some frustration
also add any hidden buttons right at the end! make sure you are happy with the layout of your bars. then add the macros you wish to add, to the bars and lastly.. enter the console and remove all hidden buttons (there are usually a few blank ones there that are left over from resizing the bars) and then begin to add your own custom hidden macros
and finallyset the key bindings
It can be done sooo easaly. there is a button to press around the flight form icon, that goes into keybind mode, where you just have to hover over the action button and press a key to bind it
EDIT: might make a small video explaining it's set-up![]()

Can you share macros between characters? Like follow and assist? or do you have to rewrite all of those macros for every toon you use
Thanks

Trinity all the way.
Another feature not mentioned here is that you can have different layers for each bar, and you can make a bar visible or hidden dependant on a number of states your character can be in. For example, you can have a bar hidden when you are in combat, and another hidden when you are out of combat. I believe they also have filters for whether your in a battleground, a raid, an arena, etc.
Trinity all the way, I would vote 10 times if I could
You forgot to mention that you can set a default target for all the buttons on a bar using unitids, so you can have target=focustarget for any spell you drag to that bar.

I may give Trinity a try, right now I'm waiting for my processor to arrive to go back to infinibar, using a modified Bartender in the process. Infinibar is all pseudobuttons which makes it nice, especially in that if you copy it's settings to another character of the same class, the buttons will all be in place already, lol. Infinibar is FAR from light though >_<
