Few questions

I started dual boxing a Paladin and a Priest a few hours ago and I love it! I have the party, and combat (for the most part) all figured out. The only problem I have is sometimes the secondary character loses follow. I'm not sure if its because of lag, which wouldn't make sense because I am not lagging at all on either windows. I also am having trouble with the maximizer that comes with keyclone, I read one guide but it was very confusing! I set up both windows the sizes I wanted them, and then applied and hit OK. But neither of them change size or anything like that? sorry if these questions are stupid. I read a lot of guides and couldn't find any answers!

have you added WASD (or your usual movement keys) to the keyclone dnp list?

I lose follow on 1 or 2 of my guys from time to timr but it's nearly always caused by lag, and the times it isn't is because I accidently press a movement key somehow and that breaks follow.

Yep, I have W A S D all on the dnp list. I also have all the letters on my keyboard, is that a bad idea?

Try playing in window's mode and depending on your computer you may have to lower your settings in game, ie the sound and video settings to make it run a bit smoother.

A few things that break follow:

• hitting something with a melee weapon
• casting a channeled spell (aimed shot, drain life/mana, arcane missiles, etc.)
• tapping a movement key (turn, forward/back, etc.)
• lagging for more than 10 secs or so
• getting hit with CC/knockback/etc.
• [edit] Rogue's "Distract" skill will break follow if you're flagged. Almost forgot this one.

Regarding accidental melee, if you have it on still, go turn off the option for "Attack on Assist" in your WoW options.

I should say that while keyclone is very easy to use and is a great program, it did take me a short time to figure out some of the basics, even after reading the posts etc, but this is what I think you are after:

Maximizer:

Set up your layout how you want it, name each area a different thing, I named mine 'main' (without the quotes) for my main large area, and alt1, alt2, alt3 etc for my slaves. 'main' is 1280 x 1024 in size, the alts are 400 x 256 in size, I use a 1680 x 1050 monitor, this uses up pretty much all of my screen and isn't at too weird a resolution. I set 'main' to render at 1280 x 1024, and the alts at 800 x 600, this is the smallest size WoW will render the game at. Make a PIP focus button for each area if you so wish. Check the enable maximiser check box. Save all this.

Next:

Go to command editor and click the new button. In the command textbox name your command, I used 'wow1', 'wow2' etc for mine (without the quotes, all lowercase, no spaces, this is important). Set your CPU affinity, show keyclone where WoW.exe lives, and you can put in your username if you so wish, I haven't done this yet, but I am still relatively new to keyclone. Set your maxfpsbk and maxfps to a low number and higher number respectively, something like 15 and 40, remember maxfpsbk should be the lower number.

Now the important bit. For region, put 'main' in the textbox, without quotes. This will tell keyclone to use that instance of WoW for the main section of your screen that you have set up in maximizer. If you have named you main section something different then put that in there. Click Apply.

Repeat this for your slaves, with a different name for the command, and a different name for the region, corresponding with the section you have in maximizer. Click apply for each step, you should have several commands in the list in the command window:

wow1
wow2
wow3
etc

Starting WoW:

You should now be back at keyclone itself. Next to the connect button there is a dropdown box. Write the name of your command in there that you wish to start, i.e. wow1. Hit the connect button, keyclone should start wow in maximized mode as you have set it. Type a new command and hit connect for the other instances of WoW that you wish to start with their respective commands, i.e. wow2, wow3 etc. You should now have everything working at a basic level.

You can make keyclone do a bit more work for you with usernames etc, but I have not done this myself (yet) but the option is there. I am happy for now to start things manually and log in from there. One thing to remember, mute your instances when you log in incase you tell the server your U/P, which is not a good thing :P
