PvP with Shamans and in general boxing

FUCK FEAR!!! every fucking class now can potentially have a fear, you got locks instas, priest and warriors who insta, and now rogues who not only silence you for a while (your whole team) but can now drums of panic you around the fkn place..

this is getting to be completely fkn ridiculous. I can spend the time to put down all my totems, and be fairly safe from fear, but wtf am I supposed to do when im chasing someone? spend 4 seconds and lay a landing strip of totems behind me? even if I do, if i get feared, maybe 1 or 2 will get unfeared the others are still useless, and we all know how useless we are without all 4. so you have to either go back and get your guys and give up chasing the flag carrier down, or sacrifice 2 of your guys who will be picked off any second by another rogue who loves you and chase a guy carrying the flag to his base where, if you had all 4 or 5 you would pwn them, but with 2, a single rogue demolishes your team with a blind and stunlock..

what am I missing here.. is it just a flaw in boxing that any class that can fear can just run away without reprisal unless our I WIN button is up?

live in the totem farm
move with the totem farm
stagger your tremors so they are pulsing every second

Basically - stay in range of your tremors and make them come to you, and get used to spamming your totem hotkeys a lot as you move. Don't take the bait and chase out of range of your totems if there's a fearing class around.

I use PVP trinket followed by my /follow macro button.
Puts everyone back in place pretty quick.

I would have expected a post like this on the WoW forums, not on the DB forums. We have a lot of ways to deal with fear. Tremor (works on any fear), Grounding (works on lock's fear), trinket (works on any fear). And even if you successfully get feared you still have a lot of options of what to do. Gather up all your guys, start healing, lay totems. Seriously QQ.

If you are getting kited around by 1 person then most likely you are doing it wrong.

PvP trinket much? Doesn't seem like it.

Shaman are siege tanks. They dig in and blast away. If you want to be constantly mobile, roll undead.

LOL Fursphere, I was thinking the same thing, feels like I'm a tank sometimes.

When I come up on a cluster fight going on I hang back, I *always* drop my tremors before anything. Depending on the situation I then take my first shot. As I move close I re-drop my tremors.

If I'm chasing someone and I know my 4 followers are close enough I use my standard shock set which includes 1 Frost shock then immediately drop my Tremors.

Yeah fears are very annoying sometimes but I'm sure Pally's that I instagib in Balinda's room almost everytime find that equally annoying when I do it to them so I'm more than willing to have fears affect me to be able to pump out that kind of damage in one cast on all 5. I do have to work on my termor staggering tho.

I used to think I was a pimp at pvp with 2 toons. Since dinging 61 on my other 3 toons I entered AV and realized I am a super noob all over.

I never was feared with 2 guys. Now that I have 5 I can see the priests coming at me like an Iraq suicide bomber. They drop a fear and its GG for me.

I also used to get up in there with 2 toons but now with 5 I sit on the sidelines and support. I find that doing this and living within my totem farm not only scares the piss out of the ally but when I do get CCed its less then half a second.

There is a nice neck piece from an instance that looks like an eye with a target over it. This trinkets reduces fears and silence by 20%. Use that with your grounding/tremor totems and its all goodie!

I will say that I am shocked when 5 ally come rolling up on me. None of them working together EXCEPT to stop and WTF me. I love stopping multiple ally in their tracks and popping BL, NS, CL and trinkets all at once. Pick one target and start popping popcorn!

There is nothing like watching 3 guys run away while the smoke from a CL trails them, only to die from 5 flameshocks.

BTW if you are not using flameshocks x 5 then you should. It drops people! :thumbsup:

He said when chasing someone, WSG - flag carrier. He even implies in his post that when he is stationary he totems up, just on the move it is a little harder. Grats on not reading AND coming across as an asshole.
