Default Vista x64 and 8GB RAM - Need help please :(

Hmmm, getting some problems with my new pc and the 8GB RAM

First i'll tried to install Vista x64 (included SP1) and the Setup shows up that the kernel is corrupt...
Google told me to install with 4 GB RAM - That finished the Setup without any Errors

But now i want to use the 8 GB RAM

Wenn I try to install the 4th slot, Vista crashes on bootup with "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
With 6 GB instead it works fine

To resolve the problem I have tried out:
    - Fixing with the Microsuff Patch for more than 3GB - Doesn't work for me, says: "System doesn't match" - I'll think the patch is included in SP1
    - Apply the correct value for the RAM in the Bios
    - Bios Update to last revision

Now I'm at the end of my ideas...
    I NEED UR HELP

    Sry, for my bad english

That sounds like one of the RAM sticks is bad. if its new or under warranty then get a replacement. and thats all i can think of.

All of the sticks are tested (standalone) with memtest without any problems
The RAM isn't damaged and working 100% - standalone

Yeah, it sounds like bad memory. The stop code you listed is for a bad device driver with an improper level telling another one it should not to do something.

You should NOT have to use the /3gb switch with a 64 bit OS.

Try to bump up your RAM voltage in the BIOS a tiny bit. You may be suffering from something called vdroop. The more RAM you have, the bigger the more energy it takes to do the same refresh of memory.

There is a Patch for the 3GB Switch for 32 and 64 Bit Systems
In past there was a problem with the 3GB Switch in the 64 Bit System too ...

But i've solved my problem with the great help of the German Community here

The f****** board sets the RAM to 1067 MHz but the sticks only supports 800 MHz

Setting down the ratio of the RAM is the key for me

    THANKS!

Motherboards can be EXTREMELY picky when using all of their RAM slots. Most MB makers have a list of RAM modules that they have tested and certified to work. Some are even so picky that it matters if the chips are on one side or both of the stick.

Also, make sure you have installed ALL critical updates for Vista.

    Default 8g Ram

Check your power supply on your system sounds like you need a min of 1k watts most likely 1200, Check your mother board to make sure you have switchs set to read the ram you have in the slots if they are changable, Make sure to read your mother board owners manual to ensure you have the ram in the correct order specified in the book. Check mother board to make sure it can read 8g ram. Make sure your MB is Vista 64bit compatible.

Sounds like you have a nice system I have been specing a 64bit system to start 5 boxing on so once you get stable please let us know how it is running.

If you get a chance to post your full system profile hardware that would be awesome its been a few years since I built a computer so I'll be posting my final chosen items for people to give me imput if this looks like the Beast I'm hoping for.

    Good luck with the problems

1k watts? Man, that's an expensive power bill. My system is a quad core, 8gb ram, biggest NVidia card you buy 5 months ago. 650w power supply to push it all. The system only pulls 420watts when running WoW full out.

1000W is overkill for anything short of a quad-SLI system with several disks and other accessories.

    O.K. thats my system:

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
    RAM: 4x 2GB Mushkin @ 800 MHz
    Board: MSI P35 Neo
    GPU: Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX 512MB
    HDD: 1x Samsung 500GB via SATA 300
    Power: 650W

Playing 5 WoWs on Vista x64 (1 with high settings 1650x1080 - 4 with low settings on the second screen) I'll getting 50-60 fps each client

AND my problem is fixed - Now I'm happy
