Default Bad FPS running 3 instances with keyclone

What I'm doing is basically leveling up 3 nukers in WoW, I don't need to see all of the windows at a time, I just set up one button to Lightning Bolt, Fireball, and Starfire, dings die in 2 seconds so it doesn't need to get more complex than that.

So I keep my "main" maximized, full screen, everything else runs in the background. With keyclone, I'm fine with 2 instances, with no performance loss at all, when I add a third my FPS drops to like 15-20. Without keyclone running I can run all 3 with no performance hit at all, 60fps all the way through.

    My computer has Vista 64. 4GB Ram, and 8800GT. and C2D E6800

I guess what really confuses me it's that its absolutely perfect with 2, but with 3 it is unbearable, I can understand the FPS going down a littl, like to 40 or 50, but going from 60 to 15 just because of 1 more instance?

you will need to restrain the fps of your wows.. or they will each try to hit 999 fps, killing the fps for each.

go to the command editor and set your maxfpsbk to 10 (since you won't be seeing them) and your maxfps to 50 (you really don't need it this high... but 50 is smooth)

that should do it. if not, please let me know.

    have a great night,

Hi, I tried that and the issue still occurs... could it be from trying to run 3 WoWs off 1 folder?

unlikely. if the single folder was the issue, then it would only be temporary as it loads into memory. after that, everything would be fine.

with another instance, you have more items to process. consider your overall screen res, add-ons, fps, and amount of graphics detail you are trying to render.

also, are you spreading the wows across your cores? that can help

    fyi:
i am 5 boxing from a single folder on my amd 3500+ 2.2GHz single core w/ 3G of system memory and an 8800GT OC pushing 2 monitors @ 1280x1024 ... and i'm getting 5/25 (not great.. but i'm on very low end equipment)

Window #1 & #2 are perfect, Windows #3 runs like crap.

If it was a performance hit I'd figure everything would drop, not just window #3

I do have them running on different cores

So, if I want to play my main, he has to be Windows #1 or #2, but I find that even if an alt is on #3 it lags so bad even autofollow doesn't keep up. It seems to screw up both FPS and network lag.

I pretty much redid all my settings from scratch and it seems to be fine now, all 3 running smooth =/

which settings do you think you changed that made a difference?
