Thought I would update this thread as promised.

Well i went in there tonight and to say I got stuffed royally would be an understatement.

The first couple of pulls were a shock to the system. Loads of 50 skeletons mingled with a couple of elites. I eventually got my act together, and all was sort of going fine. Until i got the awful curse - 150 shadow damage every few seconds, restricted healing, interrupts bandaging and eating. Doesn't sound like much but in reality it's like the death of a thousand papercuts. I think I got to market row so that gives you an idea of how badly i did.

I do think that these groups are some of the worst in the instance, and once I actually got in to the scarlet area it would get easier.

With 1 70 my 46 rogue was getting just shy of 500 xp per kill. I can get close to that from grinding on the trolls near zullfarak in tanaris.

It doesn't mean I'm giving up - It might mean that i go ahead and configure the setup for triple boxing my 3 70's.

My plan would be to use the hunter pet to get aggro. Have the shaman heal it and the hunter if need be, whilst picking off some of the group. Pull the groups to a safeish zone and have the warlock throw a few seed of corruption in there - then trigger it.

I think it might be viable for money grinding with the three 70's.

For boosting perhaps I should set my sights to BRD the first rooms someone mentioned in another thread. Or perhaps Sunken temple.

i tried scholo with a druid feral friend 70, and my lowest shammans. the 52's were doing 200dmg, the 57 around 1000dmg, and between fear bombs, spell knockbacks, i just called it off because the xp was soooo soooo low. what i think is that, rested XP in instances it's a go, but when ur not rested, just go quest, because even if u hate it, u do a quest in 10 minutes that gives like 8k, and inside an instance sometimes u need 20 minutes for 8k
The trouble with rested xp is that you blow through it so fast, and unless you are leveling like 5-6 teams your xp gains will use up the rested time faster than you can earn it. I only wish the rested xp didn't have the cap, or at least had a bigger one.

I solo'd some packs in stratholme in my mid 60s with so so gear, though I had to use all my CDs, and died a lot. At 70 a prot pally should do pretty well as long as he doesn't take on too many at once without a healer. With heals, I bet a good tankadin could take 4-5 packs without sweating. Just judge light/wisdom as needed, and reckoning does the rest! (I've watched my HP bar go up as if I was using a figurine of the colossus, even though I don't have one, just with judgement of light/seal of light)

I am leveling a paladin and 3 warlocks with my tankadin, with plans to run them through ST until they no longer get xp (the xp from the zolo trick is sooo good there, I see no reason to ever leave early...) Then I will run them as a normal 5 man team with my 70 paladin tanking/aoeing, and the other pally healing, and the locks+pets dpsing. That is my plan to get them to 70 by doing as many instances as I can, maybe some questing along the way, but on a PvP server, its hard to do quests efficiently with the enemy always around, either killing you, you them, or just general mayhem. Once they are 70, i will use them to level the rest of my guys. Locks for summons to FPs, Tankadin for most instances, and holy/prot duo for the higher ones, until outland, then I can level trios of DPs easily with my properly geared tank/healer duo. Maybe I will level a pally on every account, so I can boost any char on any acct...

    Paladin strathomle power leveling.
Blue dots = start of pull.
    Red line = pull.
    Green dots = AoE spots.
    Yellow dots = lowbie locations.

You can do the entire instance in 3 (or even 2) pulls, but I highly highly recommend against it. Doing it increases your chance of death (on both Paladin and lowbie), and in the end will INCREASE your time played. Don't bother risking it.

Stealth helps. A ton. I'm power leveling a Druid atm, armory: http://armorylite.com/us/echo+isles/Bloomkin . She's almost exalted with AD, but no other rep, and has extremely low defense/weapon skills: http://armorylite.com/us/echo+isles/bloomkin/r . Played time is about 3 days at level 55, that's including me afking/running to mailbox/repair. I've gotten 45-55 in about a day /played, the XP is really pretty good, even at 45, and it keeps getting better until 58 where it starts slowing down again.

The best part being, of course, is in the past 10 levels I've made enough gold to pay for epic ground, flying, AND epic flying on this character. Yeah, I made 7k gold in 1 day /played (edit: this isn't including the 3k gold worth of items sitting on the AH atm waiting to sell). I won't get into that here, but use your imagination and you can figure it out.

    Edit: Fixed image.

I went away and took a look at the video of the paladin soloing stratholme. It's almost as if stratholme was designed for the pally

After licking my wounds I decided to analyse my disasterous run, and the main cause of failure is down to the curse that stuffs up healing/eating and does damage over time (for 10 minutes).

Initially I thought I would bring my 70 shaeman and use it as a healbot for the hunter and I'm sure that would work.

However I think I'm going to level my 34 druid through to 46, to join my rogue on the run, just for the ability to remove curses.

I'll also bring a shedload of potions and a large bunch of bandages.

I am however going to start levelling a paladin as soon as possible. I think every multiboxer should have one.

Technically...all MB'ers should have 2 The 2nd to level up the 5th member of the team on the 1st paladin's account.

I don't know why everyone overlooks LBRS. I brought my Warrior in there in Fury gear with Stormherald and the 4 level 45 Shaman healing and it went quick. Same thing with Ramparts at 55.
