Default I'm looking for a thread...

Hey peeps, i was just going to change some stuff with my maximizer, but couldn't remember how to do it - i read it on a guide, but after a 30 min search, i stated, i couldnt find it.

The post im looking for, contains some images, of how different ways of maximizer can look on the poster's screen.

Actually, if just someone could remind me, where and how to change your resolution, so that i can make a window in like 350x1078 without the stuff getting totally streched ?

    Thanks

If I understand, you want WoW to run in 350x1078 resolution without stretching a say 800x600 -> 350x1078, which will make things horribly squashed?

Here is what you can try... launch WoW and in the in-game video options, set it to run in windowed mode, not maximized. Exit the game. Then edit the config.wtf file (make a backup first if you like) and change the line for resolution to your custom values and save the config file. Then right click the config.wtf file and set it to read-only (else WoW will just overwrite it). Then launch the game and see what happens.

Barring that you will probably need to add a custom resolution to your video card so that WoW will recognize it as valid, some apps like Powerstrip can do this but I'm not sure of any free/good ones offhand. (edit: I checked and nVidia drivers have a custom resolution feature, or you can get RivaTuner. Not sure about ATI. Good luck!)

I explained some Maximizer stuff in this thread:

Why don't you just tell me what you want to do.. how many monitors, what are the monitor resolutions, and how do you want the screens to be displayed?
    Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.
