xp64 is EOL? We were just ok'd to sell XP for almost another full year and it will be supported at least til 2011...

BTW.. i just switched one of my machines to xp64 from 32bit.. the main thing i noticed is it seems to access drives faster... which is where alot of my lag was coming from in wow...

This doesn't make a lot of sense. Did you reformat the disk? That would have defragged the drive.

bit of topic but.. if you upgrade from xp to vista and have a logitech mouse that's older than 2yrs? you'll have to upgrade to a newer mouse. Otherwise the mouse uses vista driver; logitech won't work. You'll have the basic buttons but any extra stuff won't work.

This is good to know! I was planning on upgrading to Vista64. I've pretty much put Logitech on my shit list for good after getting scammed by their webcam fraud. Sadly the old Logitech MX1000 mouse is probably the best wireless mouse ever made, and I still use it regularly. I guess since they don't make it anymore, I really don't need to buy anymore of their crap.

For 5 boxing my shamans I built a machine as follows:

    Q6700
    Striker Extreme Mobo
    8GB Ram
    5x 10k Raptor Drives
    2x 9800 GTX

I made it so it dual boots Vista 64bit and Windows XP Pro 32bit

I received no gains running vista 64 so i play exclusively on xp pro 32 and i even disabled one of the video cards, one was better than two. I know ill find a use for it later but for now i have 4gb+ of ram and a 9800gtx that goes unused.
