Best bet is to just move a bit after you turn, to make the follower turn. You soon get used to making some unusual arcing movements for positioning ahead of a fight.

You can also map movement keys just to the second instance of WoW. I use QWEASD for moving my main (and the mouse, of course) and the arrow keys for turning / moving my drones when I need to.

But I rarely actually need to, except when they lose follow entering an instance or get themselves stuck.

One client per machine = Multibox/Synergy/Hardware

Two (or more) clients per machine = Keyclone/AutoHotKey/Nothing

Synergy: Allows you to send key presses over a network. You can move your mouse between screens, but WoW (and CoH) have issues if you try and control clients with the mouse, causing the character to spin around when you try and mouse look or control direction, you are fine if you just want to click buttons with it.

Multibox: Is a (I think) re-written version of Synergy designed to get past some of Synergy's problems and is designed specifically for multi-boxing. It is to my mind not as easy to set up as Synergy and at least for me crashes more often. (Like once a session )

Hardware: what Xzin has done (and others) replace software like that mentioned above with true hardware multicasters and KVMs. Most effective route so far (it seems) but also expensive.

Keyclone: Is a piece of software that also sends keystrokes between computers over a network. However Keyclone will also send keystrokes to one or more clients on a single computer. Personally not tried it as I'm waiting for mouse buttons being sent.

AutoHotKey: A free ware macro language, that can be scripted to do what any of the above (apart from hardware) can do. Its the hardest to use and IMO very likely to eventually result in a ban. As the software can be used to bot your character and I have no doubt that one day the Warden anti bot system will detect it.

Nothing: You can of course rely on alt+tab but as you have already found there are issues with this. I'm sure with practice these issues can be worked round. But why bother? With so many systems, mainly free, (all but Keyclone & Hardware) to make your dual/multi-boxing life easier, doing the hard thing is not even character building.

Apologies for such a lengthy post.
