    Default Mages and Blizzard?

So I want to make an AOE farming Group of 5 (4 being controlled by me 1 being controlled by my g/f)

My only question is, are mages able to cast Blizzard Via Macro? I don't think they would be, but it is possible to do a /cast blizzard party1? That way my Paladin goes in and aggroes, then my mages all cast Blizzard. Any suggestions about AOE farming would be great. Thank's in advance.

Unfortunately, ground targetted aoe spells (Blizzard, flamestrike, hurricane, etc) require a mouse click. No way around it, no way to macro it.

Actually, there are several ways around it. Octopus supports keyclicks for multiple clients. Its possible with Auto-Hotkey, etc.

There are some posts about how to achieve it, it'll require some searching.

Honestly the best way I use blizzard is hot key them all to one key, press said key and spam double clicks on all the windows as fast as possible, only about 2 second delay between first and last blizzard and people sometimes wonder if its ever going to end

Or use a wireless mouse on the 4 alts(mages) to ground click at the same time/location. Trick to this is setting all 4 up with the same window size/position, same mouse accelerations, all characters facing the same direction and remembering to "zero" the mouse first so the cursor is in the same place on all 4. It works pretty well when I use it for flamestrike.

hmmmm, was there another thread like this one, or did my post about using tweakui (or the new similar feature in keyclone) get deleted?

As we changed servers recently, chances are that it didn't get copied over.

Yeah, I thought about that a little while after I posted....I thought the change had been made once the forums came back up but that's liekley what occured, no biggy

Anyway, as I said in that post...if you run windows XP download TweakUI from the microsoft site, or if you use Vista Keyclone now has the ability, to switch focus to the window under the cursor. Using this ability you save yourself one mouse click because as soon as you mouse over your mage window you will have control of the blizzard (or any other ae, targeting reticule and you just need to click once to place it. It's not a big thing but it does mean that it's faster and more intuitive to do ae's which can only be a good thing.
