One thing you'll notice is how many of these guides talk about grinding. Me? I use collection quests as my goal-oriented grinding. Sure, there are other ways to grind but unless the drop quest is some asinine rate (<5%, etc.) then I just consider these drop quests as part of it and I can then skip the "now go grind 4 bubbles on xxxxx mob" sections. Also, unless the spot is camped, it usually isn't all that hard to complete these drop quests. Once you get past the 20s, I can't recall any that were utterly painful. Maybe that "diaphanous bug wing" quest in Zangarmarsh. The BC ones are cake because the spawn rates are insane.

[edit] The ones that I remember now that DID suck were the spots where bots were camping 24/7, like the dragonkin out in Searing Gorge or the yetis in Winterspring.
