Default Advice on leveling lowbie priest

I had 1 prot pally with 4 mages and the other day decided to drop one of the mages for a priest. I leveled it to 8 then took it to ragefire chasm and grinded that for a bit. Seemed to help level okay, I guess. I then did some questing and then hit shadowfang keep. My Pally and Mages are now level 26 and my priest is level 18. Since my P and Ms are higher level they now get very little XP in SFK. But it appears that now my priest is getting a lot lower XP now as well. I didn't expect that would happen but it now has me pretty much at a standstill.

I HATE quest grinding but I'll do what I have to do. Any advice on leveling my priest to catch up to the others?

Solo quest or mob grind. The level difference causes less xp along with the reduced xp gains from grouping.

what I do is quest..... key is to take collection quests ONLY on your lowbie and regular quests for everyone else, you should catch up fairly quick.

I forget how fast you can level by just soloing quests. Tons more XP for the kills and then quest XP on top of that. Thanks for hitting me in the head with a reality hammer. this will work. shouldn't take too long then i can get back to instance grinding which i love due to the blues!

I would quest with the priest, but have the pally on follow and only heal. No pally attack or mage attack. You get the most exp if they aren't in the party and if they don't do any damage. Maybe judge light or wisdom if you can (not sure about levels) so in case the priest has to attack it can at least get healed or mana for free. It might take a little, just don't worry about it, a few levels won't be that long.

Thanks for this advice. Not sure why I didn't think of it myself but this is what I needed. Won't take long to get the priest caught up then back to fun!!
