Default Recently Found a Quad-Boxer on my server, i thought it would be kool to make a healer for her 5v5

not sure if this is the right place, i just registered on here. yeah the quad boxer is making 4 ele shamans (well 5 but she said she would drop one for the 5v5 healer i mmay make) from browsing the forums. i see that alot of people play with paladins.. but ive also heard shamans are good cuz they can chain heal.. in my opinion, shaman or paladin healers could get targetted easy and nuked.. i was thinking even a druid would be good, they can stay stealthed until a heal is needed (most other teams will be amazed at the quad boxer they wont really notice if a druid would pop out) i have a 47 paladin i could go ahead and level, a 44 druid too (that i have been leveling most recently, this would also give me flexablity for a 2v2) and a 25 shaman. whats your guys' opinions?

heh, yeah they dont get nuked easy, cuz of bubble, but if theres a priest ur in a lil trouble. i was thinking druid. cuz they can stay stealthed til a heal is needed.. but the druids weakness is trying to heal 5 people, which is a pallies bread n butter.. but then there is the shamman with the chain heals.. grrrr

Basicly. when all hell break lose you will have to be able to spam heal like crazy fr like 15 seconds.. after that.. you or the other team will be more or less gone. So yeah.. Pally = bubble and spam heal.. a bit slow heals thought but u can allways go flash.. as you dont really need the mana for a long fight anyway.. Resto shammy have chain heals, but.. they are 2,5 sec cast.. with heroisem a bit slower.. but first it seems like its best to just go crazy on the lesser healing waves.. and when a few targets are down continue geting all up with chain..
Holy prist, have aoe heals and stam buff which is nice but they might be a bit squisy... My fauvit so far is Resto drood... if he stay stealthed close to you.. the other team cant start focusing on him to get the healer down and that is a big + as most teams seem to go for the class / name that is diffrent from the rest.. SO.. if he stay stealthed he can just pop directly out in tranquility as it all breaks loos and heal each member of the team for 1600-2000 each 2 sec.. and then start stackin up hots on all hurted members.. You will have a NS+healing touch that can crit up to 10k.. Also, in some games where the other team have been really defencive as they know whats going on and staying behind pillers etc... we have some times had him root a target and i nuke the crap out of it in a way to get things going.. and they cant really do much about it... Just awoid using cyclons onless its really needed.. Like locking out a healer when you see the shammys are nuking on someone else.. but be carfull.. it easily fuck up some as i tend to change targets fast if i cant kill someone in a few nukes.

So if your intentions are to basicly help the shammys id say a resto drood is the best choice, as of stealth, tranquility and root

What about a Nelf Priest with shadowmeld until heals needed? That is, of course, unless you are on Horde...

As a Holy Paladin for my main pre-multiboxing I can say that healing more than one person can get tricky, but with decent gear, flash of light heals for quite a bit, is fast cast, and very mana efficient. All you need is Stam, resil, and +healing.

I have played with druid, priest and pala healer.
I find pala by far the best, a factor here is gear too, but his ability to stun a target every 50seconds is very nice when catching a kill target.
BoP is also VERY nice against warriors and hunters, as it removes all incoming dmg and MS/AS.
The priest was also very nice, because it opened up for a rush strategy against the really defencive teams, having fear ward on my main while rushing in, and tremor totem ready to remove fear from the rest of the team.
The druid however, i found less efficient, the ability to spam good mana efficient heals just isnt there, and the druid buff is gimped compared to stam/spirit and kings/bow.
The druid does not take full advantage of heroism like the pally and priest does.
The pala gets 1second flashes that hits for 18-1900 and crits for 27-2900.
The ability to rebuff easily and mana efficient also increases with an all shammy team.
In 5v5 the nukes rule the street, the paladin is by far the best to take the nukes, and protect with BoP.

When it comes to the general arena fight, its bunker down and kill everything upfront. And a pala that can stand still and heal is a god when it comes to mana efficient and viable heals.
    Mulitboxing four shamen.
