    Default Hardest Arena Teams Faced and Stratagies.

    So basicly i created this tread because I know alot of us do Arena. I would like to see what other peoples problems are in the arena and if they were able to conquer the other team. or if you still have not been able to. And to get solutions to these tough teams.

    So after dragging my feet in the sand for so long and not creating an Arena team, i finally made the leap into the unknown. I started off and lost the first 3 games, a little upset i still decided to try it again. what do ya know i Won! woo. then i got a streak going. got up to 1625 in less then 2 hours. I was going crazy with Joy. 8o Then we came against a team. we lost 6 games against :cursing: . We could not beat them. no matter what we did. They would always blow us away. They had the following toons on their team.
    1 Fire Mage
    1 Discipline Priest
    1 Fury Warrior
    1 Destro Warlock
    1 Elemental Shaman

    It would always be the same thing. They would rush in and the mage would use dragons breath, Disorienting me. Then it would be a mass DPS effort on the healer or my main Guy. almost always they would kill one of us then we would recover. the warlock would Howl of Terror interrupting my casting and disorienting my characters as well. then the priest would do it as well. in the mean time they are dpsing each one of my characters down one at a time. they just had too much CC to do anything. We could never kill the Priest. The Mage rarely ever died b/c the heals were better then our DPS. The warrior would go by himself sometimes and we could easly kill him. Hell once the Warrior disconnected and so it was 5 vs 4. and we still lost. It was really frustrating. X(

    Has anyone ever encountered a team like this? If so how would you go about beating them?

    My team consists of 4 elemental shaman (Me), and 1 restro Shaman. All decently geared. We used the standard totems, 5 tremor totems droped in a timely manner to reduce Fear times. 4 Grounding totems, 4 healing totems, and 4 searing totems, 1 mana and a couple others.

    Sounds like a bitch. Sorry, I don't think you will be able to beat this setup without WOTF and/or awesome trinket timing.

    That looks like a tricky setup to beat, although if you can bypass them and get a little higher in the rating, you'll probably never see them again. That comp against anything reasonably normal would get floored. Basically everything about that group is wrong.

    At the moment, the hardest setups I've seen are just like that -- really bad compositions that would never be viable above 1700.

    I 3-box with 3x Elemental Shaman, MS Warrior and Holy Pally. My shamans are terribly geared. All of my losses after the first week (we're 1600 now after a bad week) have been against teams that completely outgear us (S3 weapons and usually shoulders), or teams that are mostly ranged dps.

    We got a hard MS Warrior, MS Warrior, Rogue, Disc Priest, Resto Shaman recently, but it was in RoL, which is my worst map by far, and they outclassed my gear tremendously. So I was fine with that.

    But we also lost 3 against an SL/SL Lock, Hunter, Dreamstate Druid, Holy Pally, Disc Priest. That actually is a decent comp and not just a gimmick. It's the perfect LOS drain team, and with my inexperience and terrible gear we just had no chance to beat them. They refused to charge us, and they were far too mobile for me to get a kill shot. We almost won the first game we played against them, but after they saw what we had (I insta-killed their paladin when I couldn't find anything else to attack), they just played ultra-conservative and never gave me an opportunity. The hunter even disconnected at the beginning of a game, and they still won.
