Shamanx5 - ZG Bloodlord Raptor Mount

Thought this guy might be near impossible without some sort of tank. He hits hard, does a whirlwind and his raptor buddy puts a debuff on you that also reduces armor. After a good hour and a half, I finally figured out a strategy to kill him with 5 shamans.... and my reward.... the Swift Razzashi Raptor mount! (I'll post a screenshot soon).

Here's what I did:

1. Clear the trash in the room to give you some breathing room and avoid accidently getting feared into them.

2. Form a semi-circle around around him at the bottom of the stairs at max distance. The reason for this is that if 3 or more people are in melee range he will start fearing you - otherwise he won't do it. The other reason for doing this is that he generally moves pretty slow (unless he's charging) when someone gets agro it increases the time before he's doing any dmg when he has to move to another shaman all the time. Similiar strategy can also be used in Botanica with the 3rd boss sacrificing guy.

3. Drop all your totems, pop heroism/BL, pop 5 earth elementals (important), and proceed to all out nuke. I ignored his raptor mount buddy the whole time, as well as his gaze and just focused on bloodlord.

4. It's very likely some of your guys will die eventually, if you are all geared similiar and can pull agro from each other due to the lightning bolt pushback, all the better - it means he has to run around while getting pummeled. Make sure to take the rez from the spritis asap, your facing the right direction again (especially if charged) and get back into the fight.

lol - same thing I was thinking. That would be uber, but I won't be holding my breath on that.

just a note on a different way to kill - dependant on your classes anyway - you can still sit out the "IM LOOKING AT YOU %N" if when you pull, your healers and ranged up the top, and jump off to the half-ledge to the side, leaving your tanker down below. He will still yell, but not charge anyone, no matter what they do (other than pulling agro, in which case he will port the top agro player to him).

I have been doing it with a feral druid + resto druid boxing without too much trouble - 5 books in about 4 months(fishboss), but no mounts from bloodlord :'(

Yep - I've used that strategy when I had a warrior friend come along but the problem with 5xshamn is you really have no tank to stay below so I was quite happy to find a way to do it without one. I've had the opposite luck with the fish boss... 0 books so far.

I remember doing this boss with my Shamans when they had no gear with a couple other friends, at one point scratching my head thinking if it could ever be done with just 4 or 5 Shaman, glad someone tried it and was successful.
