    Default Party Positioning

Just recently started multiboxing and have a question about the positioning of characters in a party. I use the focus follow setup and so I have my main ahead of the group and the other four members of the party following behind in a big pile of flesh, hair and weapons. Is there an easy way to space out your party, either while walking or when stopped?

    Thanks in advance

When stopped, yes. Take a look at the Wiki and stickied threads for more info on how to do this.

I think the only option you have for spreading out while moving would be to make a train.. Toon 2 follows Toon 1, Toon 3 follows Toon2, Toon 4 follows Toon 3..etc.

I have "\" bound to step back on my main, strafe left on toon2 and strafe right on toon3 for my 3 guys which spreads them out when standing still. Then I have wasd for movement only on the main and arrow keys only on the other two. So, after spreading out I can run by using WASD and arrows at the same time. I can actually do cool little synchronized loops. Would it work for fighting? Not a chance. Is it functional for hanging out in a town or city or showing off a little (and fun)? Yes.

Lately I've been doing an in-line formation:

    Party3 /follow Party2
    Party2 /follow Party1

It looks cool on epic ground mounts when you ride in a circle while defending BG nodes. Keeps those pesky single rogues/druids away.

The bad things about trains is that it is easier to lose one of your alts.

Yeah, I don't do it much... but it's great for showing off
