    Default Wireless Mouse Problem

Decided to give wireless mice a go but for some reason I can't get them to properly sync up. All 4 move ok but are not in exactly the same position even after I drag off to a corner of the screen. Sometimes they can get way off.
All 4 mice for my "alts" are the exact same brand. All screens are exact same and set at same resolution. I have the receivers right next to the mouse. The receivers are the key type ones so I got 4 usb extension cables so I can have the 4 keys together up on my desk. I tried moving the receivers further apart from each other but still close to the mouse. I have no other wireless stuff. Tried resyncing a good few times.
Can anyone think of what I am doing wrong? Could the extension cables be messing things up? They are decent quality ones. The mice are working together but not staying synced.

That’s the nature of the beast, this is normal. You just have to make a habit of always dragging your mouse curser to the corner of the screen before each use. Only time I use these is for starting wow, accepting my party invite quests and BG que. Only spell I use it for is Rain of fire.

Edit: I’m also using USB extenders like you, and have really really cheap mice. I don't know if this gets better if you get a quality mouse, but this is what they do. If you must have mouse control for your setup on each. I did a KVM hooked up for individual control when needed.

If you’re trying to "click" spells on all of them at the time, via hardware this isn’t going to happen. Sure drag them to the corner of the screen and maybe get a click off. But once you move to the next thing they will be out of sync.

You have to use the keyboard. Now I believe Keyclone might have something that just might work for broadcasting the mouse clicks to the other computers. Our conversation had to be cut short, but this was something I was a bit interested in. You should contact him and see what he might be able to do for you.

Unless you have a program running that will check the sync of your mice about 10 times a second this setup just doesnt sound like a good idea to me.

Well I mainly wanted this for targeting aoes which it will do but I hoped it would do more like quests and flightmaster etc.
I got the impression that it was possible to sync mice up pretty well. Mine don't sync up totally even after I drag to the corner. I spose it will still be worth it for aoes but it's a shame if it cant be precise to do quests and other stuff.

I use mine for flight master also. I can't click them all open at the same time due to sync some times but once the vendor/flight master/quest giver window is open you can click on the same flight path, accept quest, repair with no problems =).

So pc1,2 might open the window. Then I look at the other screens pc3,4 and open them with the same mouse. Then drag the mouse down to the corner of the screen again and click on the desired flight path. At first it takes a little while. But now from doing it so much I can have 5 on a wind rider in just a few secounds.

Perhaps others have better sync then we do. I just know mine sucks as well. But it's not entirely useless. when I first built mine I expected to be able to use the mouse across all the computers as well. It's a shame it doesn't.

Xzin can you comment here - maybe you have like awesome mice that you dont have a problem with?

I was going to buy Brad's mice (well the same one as his!) but if they are not so crash hot maybe I should pay a bit more.

Or do you also have this same issue?

Have you tried switching off all acceleration? That might help.

are the four computers the same spec?
the problem with mouse broadcasting is that computers handle mouse input at their own leisure

    7 Wireless Mice Tips.

1 - Test by putting the receivers realllllllly close to the mouse, arranged so the angle is the same:

    \||/

    M

    They should work 100%.

2 - The "fast RF" mice are more accurate and just as cheap.

3 - Check for RF interference on the same band, if any.

4 - Make sure the mouse has clear LOS with the receivers.

5 - Fresh batteries may help a bit.

6 - PS/2 Mice seemed to be better than USB mice.

7 - Identical hardware helps a lot but is not critical.
