Default Is dual boxing faster? (for leveling)

I plan on dual boxing two shammies and I'd like to know if, after I get everything set up right and my gameplay becomes efficient, will it be faster than leveling one character at a time? I plan on just doing the normal stuff like questing and grinding.
Thanks!

You will kill things twice as fast, but you won't get the group bonus.
I think you need 3 party members for that to kick in.

it will be slower than lvling just one toon, for the reason of drop rate for 2 characters, exp split between two characters. But it will be safer, considering less downtime due to dieing or trying to find a partner for a group quest. Overall lvling one toon will most likely be faster.

Just remember you have 2 70's at the end

I find that lvling 5 toons is taking me bout 3 times the time that it takes me to level 1.. BUT im having way more fun.. and doing quests i could never do solo

If you boost 4 (or less) toons with one level 70 (prot pally or mage works out best), your time to level those four will probably be LESS than it takes to level one from 1 to 70 solo.

I've done both multiple times and that's been my experience. Four for less than the price of one? One of the major reasons I started boxing.

It almost killed me to get to level 10 with my pally and 4 mages. Part of that was getting things setup and ironing some kinks out of my setup. I was doing quests but became frustrated with the availability of them and the logistics so I ended up an instance grinder. Much more fun and my gear is quickly turning all blue.

But like the others said. XP is split up. It would probably be better to focus on doing as many quests as you can.

My biggest problem is I keep thinking of things I want to try with macros..and never actually leave the city. :P

It has picked up now though and I'm sitting at level 21 with my group.

Ill probably end up, doing that to.... atm im new to this and started multi boxing yesterday, ive bought
keyclone, set up folllow and assist macros to a main character, and used 2 hours finding out that there
is no "spread out macro" istead i changed my keybindings to spread my chars out when standing still.

and there is still so much to learn...
