I found that using keyclone was a snap. It took literally 2 minutes to configure the basic setup and you're good to go.
As far as the grammar comment, it's an FAQ not a literary review. Don't really see a problem.
well, if there are grammer issues, not syntactical, then please...point them out and i'll gladly fix it.
for now... any help and/or insight into fleshing out the how-to guide would be more useful. it's been almost a year and a half since i started using keyclone... and since i created it, i do not see the complications someone would using it for the first time.

I'm the complete opposite, wouldn't never spend money on an Apple product when there are plenty of alternative that are much cheaper and do the same thing.Originally Posted by Wilbur

Yeah but Apple products are good for your Karma. ;-)

yea, unless you expect to hand your songs to your friends or kids... at which point you can't... unlike albums, tapes, or cds, which you could sell, give-away, or play in 30 years.
and yes, you won't be able to listen to your ipod music in30 years... because by then you will have moved them between the maximum number of machines.
MP3s forever.
of course i should mention that i had an ipod briefly.. 1 month... then drop kicked it for a zune. the zune has been much better so far, with the exception of the iTrip car stereo thingy. both pretty much su*k but the iPod one was a bit better.
the zune also has added features like a better screen, easier interface for song uploads, and will interact with an Xbox (push movies from your zune to your tv via zune wireless... very cool)

perhaps the keymap can do with a full screenshot (all edits filled in) but for the rest i like it
ok, i just purchased keyclone because I want to dual box on a single pc. I got it working with basic passthrough's.
I white listed the 'F' Key's & created macro's on the slave box. easy enough & it works great.
However, I have absolutely no clue whatsoever what the keymaps are for & how to use them. I like that you created the faq page, but you breezed right over what I deem as the most complex piece.
I spent almost 40 minutes trying to just save a keymap until I discovered I had to give the name an extension.
What is a hotstring, what does it do, what do the names mean. Can I map one key to another key?
Do Alt keys work? I tried mapping Alt 1-5 through & they would always hit the regular 1-5 on my slave box.
Sorry for the question, but I'm just trying to help you help the other dumb customers you're going to get (like me)![]()
