Default spoiled by boxing ?! lol

Went back to my low level rogue to lvl him up for fun with just a priest in tow.. started killing stuff.. hmm.. how come is this taking so long?? lol.. I've gotten so used to 1 shotting mobs that a rogue 'felt' slow. Anyone else goes back to regular 1 toon play and finds it limiting?

funny i had the opposite experience. i left my locks on a hill in the southern barrens and leveled a rogue to 19 in one evening of playing. Then again, dual firey enchants giving way to dual lifestealing made me rip through things faster than my warlocks...however a few things to note- i only do 3 toons at once so maybe 5 is faster, the enchants with slice and dice make you OP for low level PvE and it evens out in the 40's (for the most part, dual mongoose is nice but not i'm not doing that), and i don't do gathering quests with the boxed teams so i could complete more quests.

i found leveling to the 40's to be very fast, and i stopped for PvP trinkets along the way. now that i'm in the 40's it's getting slower. i'm thinking of leveling 2 druids for some stealth group ideas i've been having too

of course it's all subjective, i just like having my opposite experience. solo rogue that no one can see or bother and then three locks or mages or 2 priests that everyone notices, and even reports haha...i bounce back between the two.

I just logged onto my 70 rogue after not playing her for a few months, and yeah, it's wierd not to have someone tagging along!

I had too, my guild funds are running low, so I sold off some of my hoarded gems, and did two days of at least 15 dailies each day, and put 800g back into the guild bank from daily gold and AH sales - green gems have gotten pricey, and I have stacks of them.

It is nice, though, not having to check for a follower or only using some of my abilities - I'm still way rusty on her, but I need to get back into BGs and save up for S4.

yeah locks take a while.. even at 70 my locks would take forever to
kill (forever is relative to BGs). I think the 'slowness' felling
is probably due to me leveling my mage squad recently.. just run in,
agro the whole place and aoe it down..

Just swap them into the rotation when you're leveling your boxing team. I had a 50 war/druid that I'd swap out once in a while to get them leveled up ... 60+ is a waste just sitting there as it's so close.. unless you already have that class in your main boxing squad.

Sorta. Lemme see if I can explain. I've been a huge fan of real-time strategy games for years. Single-player stuff is fun and all but being a "one-shot wonder" isn't terribly entertaining to me. RTS games give you an army to work with (even if you start out with just a builder, commander and base) so you have some measure of resiliency. Grouping is also fun to a point but too many times I burn out after having to deal with the crass general public that tends to inhabit pugs. So, multiboxing was the next logical step. I get 1-3 close friends to play with me so we round out a whole group and the rest is ownage.

So, yeah, I'm sorta spoiled by it but I was already drifting away from the soloer-in-an-MMO world anyway.
