Keyclone

I paid $19.99 through PayPal and was given access to the keyclone program. After toying with it for less then 30 seconds I tried to close and reboot it. It then said that my lisence expired and wanted another $19.99 from me. Of course I didn't pay for a lisense again but tried closing the program. Every time I boot it now it crashes and my PC slows emensely for about 15 seconds.

*edit* Removed possible concerns about the program. Just looking for a solution now.

Considering 100's possibly 1000's of people have purchased and are using Keyclone I find it hard to believe that your computer issues are related to Keyclone. I re-downloaded the Keyclone file last night, from this website, and I have no issues that you speak of. I'd do a deep clean of your hard-drive.

EIther that or this is a shameless attempt at berating the name of Keyclone -glares-.

Anyways the chances that the file you downloaded from this site containing a keylogger or virus is very very slim.

First of all, make sure to take a look at the community guidelines -- the general forum is not for support.

Secondly, as far as I know there is no baddies hanging out with the keyclone link on the dual-boxing forum. In fact, if you hover over the link it goes directly to the official keyclone website. In which case, you've got some sort of keyclone issue on your hands -- it sounds like your system ID is unstable and the crashes on your computer don't sound friendly either.

I'd suggest contacting keyclone either on his website or via PM on the forums.

I had actually just reformated my comp last week. The only things installed on it are WoW, Command and Conquer and Ventrilo.

With that re-format did you update your Flash Player? There is a security hole in the out-dated versions that has been exploited, leading to Keyloggers. I'd suggest starting there and updating your Flash Player.

You should also install an anti-virus program.. like AVG or Trend Micro...

if you are on vista, and it crashes on startup, that sounds like a permissions mix up... which happens if you do not install keyclone as administrator (i get really tired of typing that...)

the solution would be to find the keyclone folder, go to properties, and make sure the permissions between user and admin match
then delete the keyclone.ini file
then drag a shortcut of keyclone to the desktop (DO NOT move or copy it... create a shortcut)
then right-click the shortcut, properties, advanced, run as admin

this will insure you don't get the permissions issue again

if your license is expired... could be that you did something to change your system-id (in which case you just need a transfer) or keyclone cannot get out to authenticate your license (software firewall, permissions, or net problems)
