Thread: Heal or Nuke

    Default Heal or Nuke

    Hey Alll,

After a number of searches I came across a number of similar threads but nothing fitting exactly what I am after...

With the use of a Addon / macro, is it possible for a healer/nuker to first check to see if the tank needs a heal (HP <> 100%) otherwise /assist tank and cast a nuke?

    Is it possible?

I'm pretty sure that any type of decision making language (like changing an action based on someone's HP) in macros was removed quite a few patches ago.

    Sorry, no.

It removes any thinking and promote heavy button mashing.

There used to be and there are references of it on wow wiki, and I am pretty sure it is possible.

When I use to raid heal (pre-BC), the healbot(click heal) addon would automatically downgrade your healing spells depending on the remaing/total health of whatever target you clicked on. That leads me to believe that it was at one time possible, but they may have removed it.

WIth that said, you probably still should not do it. You don't want your healers running out of mana.

That makes sense, i thought that used to be possible. Most of my experience is pre-BC so I'm still filling in the gaps on what has changed.

    Thanks all!

They removed the "Thinking" macros from WoW right before BC. This was a effort to stop the Bots.

Use Healbot addon and you wont have a problem at all. It allows you to click on bars to heal sertain members and the bars can be set to "Light up" at what ever level of health you desire. very nice addon as you can set several spells to go off on clicks, alt+click, ctrl+click ect....

Go Healbot and you will fall in luv with it after your first big pull.
