    Default Max FPS

    Hey all, Im a part time boxer, so I set up the Keyclone program runs great but... You know wher you put in the min and max fps you want it to run. Well even when im not using Keyclone the max FPS i can get now is 30 fps. Where can I change this at? Is it in the WOW setting or is it in the Keyclone settings. I have looked at both, however im not the best with computers. Any help would be awsome thanks.

    Try looking in the following file for "SET maxFPS 30" and remove it.

    C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\config.wtf

    or, when you log in, you could just type:

    /console set maxfps 999

    this will make wow get as many frames as it can

    Just jumping in here - If i set the maxfps on my slaves right down to 10 or so, and leave the main window at full - in theory the computer will run a lot smoother.... right?

    Just ordered a 3rd copy of WoW to run another, and not sure if the computer can handle 3 sessions you see.....

    no... because wow will still try to get max frames... eating all your cpu

    if you want your system to run smooth, you want to leave a little cpu for system tasks. so, trim the maxfps to something reasonable (<75)

    and keep in mind, sometimes wow won't realize you left its window and may not drop the fps down to the maxfpsbk level... leaving you with 2 wows trying to hit 999

    If that's the case, is it not just better to turn V-Sync on? Limiting it to 60fps on each?

    I think i'm only getting 30fps with 2 sessions open anyway....

    keyclone has 2 settings for wows started trough it (commands editor)

    Maxfps = This is the max fps on the screen that you are using
    Maxfpsbk =This is the fps on the screen you are NOT using

    my settings are
    Maxfps=40
    Maxfpsbk=5

    You dont need more than 30-40fps.. the human eye cant see more than 30.. so why do you want it to go faster ?? it will only slow your computer
    also im using maxfpsbk =5 because i have ALL my screens the same size and position, so the alts are always hidden by my main, i dont need to see them, i dont see them at all, so why make them use system resources ??

    If you actually have the alt-screens in view (second monitor or so) Maxfpsbk of 10 or 15 is enough to see what is going on without it getting jerky
    as soon as you move over to one of the alt-screens its fps goes back to 40 and you can control it smoothly

    reset you FPS

    /console maxfps 0

    /console maxfpsbk 0

    when set to zero, it will "reset" the fps
