So, b/c switching mice wasn't a priority for me, I sorta neglected/forgot to get the m2m cables for it. well anyway, I recently got them, and got around to hooking them up today.

My KM switches the keyboard fine, but plugging a ps/2 mouse into it, never switches. very weird. Im using the on-board ps/2 port too. anyone have any experience where their KM would switch all 6 keyboards fine, but never send mouse crap through? (I hooked everything up, it didnt work, debuged awhile, ended up with a cable snarl that had been building for awhile, unhooked everything, hooked it up again double checking that everything is plugged into the right place, and still nada. starting to think somethings wrong with my KM. Anyone got any other ideas, or have any experience with contacting Vetra about a possibly bad part, hehe? the box is only about a month old, and I've been very very gentle. I just never tried to make it switch mice until now.

Oh, and as an aside, b/c i was curious, i tried connecting the X-keys in between the KM and Multiplier, and It did not work. No input from the keyboard made it to the multiplier. (That is, to be explicit, I connected a male to male cable to a KBD out on the KM, and the pass through in on the X-keys, and then plugged the x-keys in to the multiplier. ) Both the multiplier and x-keys work separately, and the x-keys functions fine in between a keyboard and the KM, or between a KB and the Multiplier, just not between the KM and the Multiplier. Weird. (yeah, its kinda a weird application, and not really necessary, but it seems like it should work. but then I didn't design the x-keys...so maybe its doing something weird. /shrug. mostly a heads up, tho if anyones got a clue, feel free to share =0)

update: I found the issue with the mouse. well. sorta. apparantly, theres something wrong with one of the cables; as a final test before contacting tech support to rma it i tried a random mouse and it worked. the other mouse still doesnt work. their identical mice, both ps/2. no clue. weird. but hey, 5 dollar mouse > 300 dollar Vetra. hehehe. yeah. i feel dumb.
