Default Hi guys, quick Q from a noob =|

Wow, amazing site folks! Thanks for all your contributions, first off. I've been playing WoW for way too long now, have quit 2 or 3 times and been real bored 'til I found out about this wonderful world!

Today I set up my very basic set up to try my hand at dual-box. 1 good cpu, 1 good monitor, 2 windowed mode accounts. Bought another account, transfered 2 healers... First attempt I was really exited for warrior auto-followed by my druid throwing alt-tab HoTs every fight or 3. The dang healer keeps DC'ing and I can't figure out why. I tried the setup backwards, warrior following the healer, no DC's... Anyone have any clue? I'm sure it's something obvious as I have not yet taken in this whole new world of gaming. Also /follow in SW had no DC's... over a good period of time too.

Thanks gang, I'm so exited about this stuff and will be thinking about it all day at work =P

There are a few threads about the disconnect issues with /follow. It seems to only affect mainly those boxing on one pc. I 5 box on one pc and I only get the odd disconnect when I'm idling in Org or when on a zepp, so I just stop /follow when idle or on zepp. Apparently there are some bugs with /follow blizzard has acknowledged and will fix at some point, but who knows when.

I just got two more PCs and started 5-boxing instead of 4-boxing this week. I'm now getting disconnects on two of these on elevators/blimps/etc. As long as I break /follow when I stop moving, no DCs. It's definitely a quirky bug. You might try breaking follow when you go into combat.

I first started dual boxing with two computers and usually just doing a high-low powerleveling thing. I noticed that I would DC in instances while following ALL THE TIME. It was annoying as hell. So basically, I'd just sit back without moving and let the mage AOE grind out an area and then move up. A real pain, but it made the pulls easier without the lowbie pulling aggro. Still, I never noticed it any other time except instances and I really wanted a fix.
