Viability of locks

5x Shaman are able to complete SOME instances/heroics due to heavy defensive abilities (earthbind kite, ability to self heal when needed, grounding totem, earth elementals, disease/poison cleansing) along with their extremely heavy offense (heroism, EM+NS, Fire elementals/fire novas).

I was worried about this when I rolled shamans, but I've done every single outland instance, MGT included, at a level appropriate and have completed heroic Ramps, Mana Tombs, Sek Halls, Shadow Labs, Slave Pens, and Botanica. I haven't attempted any of the TKs or CoTs (Durn on my list for tomorrow and waiting for them to pop up on the daily). The only heroics I'm truly worried about are Crypts and Shattered Halls.


Thought I'd add some clarity to the "some" part of your statement

lvled 4 locks and one shadow priest to 70.

cleared all normal instances are doable. But not heroics .

Priest stays in shadow at all times unless we are aoeing then he drops to healing.

with 4 impoved voids and fel domo you can tank rotate hits .

problem is aoe damage on tanks , they have no resistance to fire, nature, arc, etc.
