I usually do not react at all except someone approaches me in a nice way.
No reaction to "lol" "rofl" "wtf" "cheater" "what are you doing?" etc.
Answer to "Are you multiboxing?" "<any nice statement>"
If I don't react people tend to loose interest after following me for a couple of minutes.

    /agree with Bunny.

I ignore the vast majority, but have had some really nice conversations with people when they use english and ask a reasonable question to start with.

I agree with the previous two posters.

Don't react to anything negative or flamey (Yes, that is a new word I just made up.) Almost like you never even saw the comment. I try to be extra nice and friendly to people as I am most likely their first encounter with a Multi boxer. There for the impression you make will last in their mind of how multi boxers act. I don't think anyone wants to make us all look bad.

I had a person follow me around for an hour spamming my slave with duel requests and whispers of "nub". I didn't have the auto decline duels on at the time. After the hour passed I asked him in a nice way if he was aware that he is trying to duel my slave (I used the term alt as I didn't want to give the impression that multi boxing has anything to do with botting), and that you shouldn't assume that because someone does not want to duel, that they are a nub. He replied with "Reported for botting and verbal harassment". He then put me on ignore. I have yet to talk to a GM.. and that was a week ago.

Moral of the story: People will spam, flame, do what ever they can to try to get a reaction. Don't give them the satisfaction. Remember and obey the rules that Blizzard has set in place and you will be fine.

You develop a thick skin about it after a time. As previous posters have said, if they are polite, I'll respond accordingly. If they start out with a "cheater" "wanker" or whatever, they go on ignore... I have no time for that these days.

I've made various friends from people who started out curious or suspicious too, once they understand, many are actually in awe.

As for getting reported, about 10 people claim to have reported me, but I've never even spoken to a GM about it once. When they threaten to these days, I say please do, I wanna talk to a GM.
