    Default Looking for leveling tips

So a couple weeks ago I started quad boxing 4 Shaman and was planning to 5 box by adding my 26 Pally as tank when the shaman reach twenty-something.
After over 3 days played my shaman are 18 and I'm bored out of my mind with the slow leveling, I took my group to Deadmines at level 12 and ran them through with my 70 Hunter but only got 1/2 a level each run through Deadmines., it just seemed so slow.
Leveling seems so much slower than it did the last time (about 6 weeks ago when I leveled my Hunter).

Last week I spent over $4,000 buying new computers to run my team but now I'm getting discouraged by the slow pace.

Anyone got any tips to level faster? I have a 70 Warlock and a 70 Hunter to boost with if that would help.

I have a tip for leveling faster: hit level 21. No, really. The XP changes don't hit until the 21+ quests/levels. Once you get there, things go nuts. Also, you may be onto something. If this is your first group and you're already bored, you may be better suited to stay solo. It seems slow/tedious compared to soloing a good DPS class but you only have a naked char up through the mid-50s really. Once you hit 52ish and get enough talents to flesh out at least one line well and get some better gear to help things, it's painful at times, with some classes more painful than others. Once you hit the 60s and get some decent outlands gear, things start getting a lot more fun. Multiboxing is quite a lot of pain up front and then a lot of fun toward the end. It's not a quick-fix/instant-gratification sport.

[edit] Look up some of Skuggoman's boosting threads. He's done some with a 70 lock that might speed things up for you.

Mage and their AOE's in instances is op.

But yeah man don't give up. Best thing to do (well for me) is play with the WoW music on. Makes it better.

As bored as I am doing most of them because it seems like I have done them 100 times, I think that questing is probably the fastest. But yeah do some instances and worse come to worse grind ... then at some time take a break and then go running .... and then come back and play some more . Just dont give up

It will possibly go even slower, but it will be much more fun if you were to use your level 26 pally in the instances - it will also give you good experience for later/harder instances.

After level 20, it'll go faster.

Do a mix of quick kill quests and instances... skip collection quests.

It always amazes me how many of us continue to play this game despite not enjoying the basic mechanics of it. I'm sure we've all gone through phases of it (I know I have).

I took a break from WoW for 10 months. I'd been a three time a week raider prior to quitting and all my love for the game had been sucked out of me. I was no longer immersed in or rewarded by the setting and was just engaged in the mindless pursuit of bigger numbers on my character pane. But what was I going to use those bigger numbers for? I was just going to use them to make them bigger still.

I know that progress is an integral part of the MMO dynamic but if progress becomes the be-all and end-all of the game then it's a pretty hollow experience (at least in my experience).

When I returned to WoW after my break, I was much more casual. With no pressure on me to pump up my main, I was able to take the time to try new things. I levelled on a new faction, a new server, a PVP server, I started multi-boxing. The game is much more rewarding now. I've recaptured the original sense of wonder I had about the game.

I quit raiding to work on my box team. Sadly I had to restart one shammie due account problems. While at it I added a 4th char to the team as well.
Both of the new shammies will solo untill lvl12(nearly done). Then the 2x lvl21 shammies will help out with quests.

I even do some collection quests like in westfall. Sometimes it`s a long drag but in the end I feel like it`s worth anyway. I`m also a kind of rep-fanatic. So the mrore quests the more rep, which automaticly leads to exotic mounts from other factions :-)

From what I can tell, 20+ is great. Once I hit level 20 and I went ashenvale the box team went as fast (maybe even faster) then a solo player. Some easy "run over here" and "kill this mob" quests are really great. Since the lower xp needed per level patch it`s even better. I bet 30+ will be even nicer.

From what I can tell, don`t give up just yet. Just wait and see.
