    Default Best Duelboxing combo

    Hi all,

I'm pretty new to all this duelboxing stuff.. have 2 level 9 chars at the moment warrior/priest.. as I wanted to make a tank and a healer for later on in the game.. already have a 70 lock so wasn't planning on making another dps but the combo is a bit of a pain to be honest..

i have my priest set to follow the warrior so if i move in combat when the priest is casting then it moves the priest and stops his cast of smite or whatever. I can imagine this getting a bit easier with instants later on but have i chosen the wrong combo ?

i don't want to get to a high level and realise that my guys are rubbish

what are good combos to use?

do I want to steer clear of melee classes?

I am sorely tempted to make a 2xboomkin team but will take me a while to get to level 40 seeing as i work etc

With 2 hunters or warlocks you should be able to do almost anything "Solo". 2 Tank and 2 DPS that CAN heal the tanks if needed.

I like my 2 priests aswell even though I havent gotten very far (My trail acc ran out ). Good survival id say, but when mobs get in melee range its a pain to get both in the right direction to cast spells :S

Warrior/Priest is a solid combo. Just drop your priest before moving into melee range. At higher levels, with cleave and other abilities, you should be able to rip through mobs with your priest focusing on healing. Just a tip, don't put bubble on your warrior, it will gimp his rage.

I am finding Hunter/SPriest to be a really good combo. Most of my encounters with mobs last 5-10 sec. VE keeps us at full HP, and no alliance within 5 levels of us can survive trying to gank us. When my priests hits 50, VT will help out with the drinking part of being a mana user, but even now it is not as bad as I thought it would be. If things get rough, or i have to face an elite, I just use my priest to heal my pet and it works great. It's also really nice being able to let my priest rez my pet.

ah i haven't been turning off follow on the priest while my warrior goes into combat, was a bit confused how to until today i looked it up and you can just bind a key to walk forward a bit and then it breaks it.. there really should be a /cancelfollow command

    What about specs ?

I was going to make the warrior fury for leveling and switch him to prot later on.. but for the priest am i better to keep him shadow or holy ?

can't decide if it would be better to have his heals up'd a bit or have him as a second dps

    Also,

Does anyone instance while 2 boxing ? is it relatively easy tanking and healing all at once ?

only problem i can see is on bosses that you have to move about.. which are not many i suppose.

When I leveled my Warrior to 70 solo, I found that Arms was the easiest. A lot of damage mixed with survivability. With a full time priest though, you might be better off with Fury. I think the biggest down fall to leveling Fury is survivability, which is completely negated with a priest.

Personally I would spec the warrior Fury (max DPS no survival talents) and a hybrid disc/holy priest. While a disc/holy priest cannot dish out the DPS like a shadow can, you will not have to worry about switching in and out of shadow form to heal, and you shouldn't have too much down time for mana, all while being able to consistently DPS/heal

As for dual boxing in Instances, just make sure you comunicate with your group. Healer/Tank are the essence of a group and I would make sure you have your technique down before picking up PUGS. With that said, I was able to tank/DPS with a warrior/lock combo up to SSC without a problem.

    thanks for the advice!

think im starting in arms on the warrior as sometimes i forget to heal him (hey im new ) will respec when i'm a bit more confident.

I can't wait to try instancing.. if i can pull it off never any problems finding a group again having both a tank and healer hehe
