Yes, kind of.
I have two joysticks hooked up to my screen so that three people can play on the same computer, independant of each other, at the same time. Keyclone works wonders for this.
Basically, the joystick buttons are bound to specific keys. Most newer control pads and joysticks can do this automatically with their software. But if they don't, you can try downloading glovepie and figuring out how to work that. Just do a google search for it. If you do set up multiple poeple on the same computer, it takes quite a bit more keybind configurations so you don't mess each other up.
