Default Second machine de-syncing with the server?

Occasionally (maybe once every couple days) my alt will appear to stop moving.

For example, my alt is following my main and when it de-syncs it appears to stop moving on my main screen. I can still kill things with both, but on the main character's screen it looks like there's nothing there. Opening the map on the main shows the alt still sitting wherever it was when it de-synced. The only way I've found to fix it is to relog.

Not sure if I'm explaining it well enough, I'll try to take screenshots of it when it happens again.

Ya I get this from time to time, only thing that fixes it is relogging or zoning. It is definitely quite annoying, especially when it's a secondary pc that has the main pc character frozen.

I have very nice pings, generally in the 50's-60's. Also it's only between my two computers, other people around me can see both characters in the proper spots.

the appearance/location of your clone is determined by messages coming from the server to your main's client. same as if the clone were actually a person on another computer on your LAN. basically, your clone will perform an action (like move ahead 3 steps)... that is sent to the server then sent to nearby characters so that they may display the action. if the action does not appear, that would mean the packet describing the action was lost somehow (or at the very least, not processed for some reason)

definitely sounds like latency, packetloss, or something wrong with wow's protocol.

what OS are you using? network card? how many clones per machine? what are your system's specs? (low-end cpu could get overloaded easily... increasing packet loss)

Two machines, only one instance of WoW each, both running XP Pro SP2 connected through a router to 3mbit cable. First machine is a Core2Duo/2g RAM/GeForce7900GT and the second is an AMD Sempron 2800+/1.5g RAM/GeForce6600GT.
