Server crashes when i start it.

Trying to duel box on an HP laptop. I have installed the 3.5 files and the c++ x86 files (that was a pain in itself). When i press the start server button the program minimizes into my task tray. If i run my cursor over the icon in the tray it disaperas and the process image name disapears out of the task manager. Why is this not working for me? Can some one help me troubleshoot it!

i've heard it does this in Vista for some when you dont run as an admin...

sorry. I am running XP. Ive tryed downloading previous verisions0 oc Octopus and i only use the admin account. Is there somthing i need to do to grant permissions such as permedit? Ive tryed downloading the c++ x64 files and using them but the files on the MS server are corupt. Does x68 work on older computers. Ive had this one for about 3 years now.

the build is for 32 bit and 64 bit os's with the 32 bit C++ library files. Maybe reinstall .NET. I should probably put together an installer and an option for crash info maybe.
