    Default MMDEVAPI device window

    Hello folks.

My maximizer has just seemed to stop working in keyclone and while i was trying to get it working again i have noticed that when i run world of warcraft using keyclone i get another program open for each instance of wow.exe. This process is called "MMDEVAPI device window" and it closes when i close the wow window (it open in the windows taskbar, just like any other application). NOTE: this "MMDEVAPI device window" does not run when i open world of warcraft normally - without keyclone. Is this something i should worry about? and could it be the reason my maximizer seems to be opening all my wow windows in the same place on my main screen all the time (used to work perfectly).

    Thanks a lot.

(might be in the wrong section, sorry)

    OMG name theif!!! :P

I doubt I'll be much help, but are you linking to wow.exe or the launcher in maximizer?
This is the only thing I can think of..and may be completely unrelated. :whistling:

MMDEVAPI is part of the audio stack in Vista - the acronym stands for MultiMedia DEVice API - but I don't understand why you'd get a window with this title. It's quite common for trojans to masquerade as legitimate applications so perhaps you have something nasty on your machine. Or, it could just simply be that you have something wrong with your machine.

Ahhh! Well i did install new sound drivers yesterday and thats when keyclone stopped working, duhhhhh why did i not think of this! Funny how a sound driver prevents maximizer from working though 8| ....

    Default here is the fix

I realize I am a little late on this one but I was having the same issue. The fix is to ensure Keyclone doesn't have any compatibility mode selected. I.E. Run this program in compatibility for XP SP2 or Win2k etc. Vista opens a separate window for the sound driver and keyclone focuses that instead.

So for anyone searching this problem there is your fix. For your clones just add the -nosound switch to the command editor.
