Default I found area very hard to break into

first, I raced to 70 without doing any pvp at all, i was a pvp virgin and thought I would just jump into arena and win. NOT. you kind of need at least some pvp gear you get from the old fasion pvp like AV,AB,WSG,EYE etc. when you only have +375 spell dmg and your playing people with >1k spell dmg, it's almost like they have 2.5 people for every one of you. I find WSG is easier at level 19 than at level 70 because nobody has S3 gear at 19, you will shine big time as a multiboxer  .

build up the 100 marks in WSG at 19, etc. That way you can buy some good pvp gear at 70 and jump right into arena without being just crushed.

Try playing arenas at a different time. The pvp trinket helps.

On a side note, I noticed ellay only uses the pvp trinket on her main shaman, interesting.

[quote='Diamndzngunz',index.php?page=Thread&postID= 67011#post67011]I watch all these videos of people just starting arenas right when they are 70 in blue pvp gear, not even full glads and they are pulling a solid 1500 - 1600 rating. /quote]

After watching a few PvP videos I felt sorta the same, I remember the recent 4x tauren female shaman movie. I remember he said he was about 1650, and after armory-ing him, I remember being mad that while my stats (other than total HP) were considerably better than his, I was still stuck at 1275.

What Helped me come to terms with how I was doing, compared to how others were doing, is looking at the opposing team. In the last few videos I have seen, the enemy team sucked, and the multi-boxer was wiping the floor with them.
You have to keep in mind, each BG is different. While in said shaman's BG you might still fight kids in frozen shadowweave who are 1650, in my battle ground, you fight 1500 teams with 3-4 full S3 kids helping a friend or 2 get easy points. It's all relative. Yes you should be mad at your battle ground. No you shouldn't think your bad. It all comes down to the enemy team. Hell, if I was 1900, and still fighting teams in S1 / PvE gear, while you were 1400 fighting S3 kids, would you think it was because you suck, or because your BG is hard. :P

The simple answer is blame your BG, not yourself.

    Videos only LOOK easy.

How can you tell? There's a repair bot in the beginning of my Moroes video if you look carefully -- and that wasn't the only one we had to lay down in Kara. Nobody brags about their losses, and the people eventually have succeeded had to get through those losses same as everyone.

    Keep your chin up.

There's 'playing' arenas ... and then there's playing arenas.
When I hit 70 I took my team just to see how bad it was going to be..
yeah.. it was bad! As Etocles said ..here's your complementary
jar of lube (<- that made my lol in RL).

Anyway.. I think there's two groups of people that do them. The
casuals and the pros.. The pros will armory you before the fight,
switch players in teams, use vent, assist train, los you, fake dcs and
everything else under the sun. People take this stuff super
seriously.. I was still in the naive battleground mode when I went
    in.

You have accept that you're gonna loose most of the matches at the
begining.. the nature of arenas stack the odds agianst a boxer.. gear
disparity and class makeups play a big role as well. Try to learn from
your losses and enjoy those rare victories cause you just won inspite
    of the odds

Yo mate. I will hit 70 next week and go straight into arena to farm points. And i think that i will try out with a frost mage suporting my shammys rather then a healer..

Basicly my idea is that he will asap run straight into them.. and keep them frozen for as long as he manage, spam some arcain blasts and iceblock before he get killed. While i just stand on max range nuking them down...

Maybe you should try that out, might work

I have hit "The Rock Wall" in AV and I say don't give up. We are in a tough battlegroup and I know the Horde fear you in Bg's. When the expac comes it will be a complete gear reset and a totally different story, and until then keep up your hard work. It will pay off.

This is my first post so hello everyone. I play 3 Orc Locks on Mug'thol with felguards. I know totally ridiculous but really fun.
MYRM! You and your warlocks cause me problems . Yeah about that expac, it will be a different story when I hit 80 and have the same gear as the rest and just want in and mow people down.

I think it could be because if they all get feared it's easy to just trinket out of one and drop a tremor totem. Maybe?

Yeah I was also viewing the armory and it helped alot, but it has been down for a week now, finally came back up last night.

Couple Questions, is it not a good idea to use Elemental mastery at the start? Should I rather save it? Until Mid Fight?

and a suggestions brought up to me was..

Round Robin Elemental Mastery and Nature Swiftness

Toon 1 > Pops Elemental Mastery and Nature Swiftness > Lightning Bolt
Toon 2 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 3 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 4 > Cast Lightning Bolt

Toon 1 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 2 > Pops Elemental Mastery and Nature Swiftness > Lightning Bolt
Toon 3 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 4 > Cast Lightning Bolt

Toon 1 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 2 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 3 > Pops Elemental Mastery and Nature Swiftness > Lightning Bolt
Toon 4 > Cast Lightning Bolt

Toon 1 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 2 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 3 > Cast Lightning Bolt
Toon 4 > Pops Elemental Mastery and Nature Swiftness > Lightning Bolt

Would that be enough to blow someone up? Or is it still better just to have all do it at the same time,

    Elemental Mastery then cast
    Nature Swiftness then instance cast

I already see what's wrong...you're wasting EM + NS on Lightning Bolt instead of Chain Lightning. :P You also need to stack up and overkill; all CL on the same cast. Blow your load early and that's one whole char out of the equasion instantly. Mass-Shock the next in line and then try to bolt him; if they mass up on you, fnova totem then magma ifthey stay near, searing if not

I get mixed reviews about this.

Some people say wait, some people say use both some people say use one then the other.

I most of the time use EM, then NS then ES. But I guess I will use chain lightning. More dmg

Aye...it's best to get one of the fuckers out of the fight asap, 2 if you're lucky, that's less you have to worry about or deal with, and if the fight lasts long enough you'll get a 2nd. Chain lightning also distracts their healers having to heal more than one target + may even dmg or even spook them if they're not expecting it and cause a panic reaction.

Just keep in mind someone has to lose either way...and the way the arenas are now with everyone in the newbie brackets geared like pros(or some even are pros) there's really no fairness or balance; yer gonna get stomped and need that lube I mentioned earlier Except for the weapons all the gear is good for is more pvp anyways...and one well timed(or many persistent, varied) fear(s) or persistant rogue(s) will be all it takes to destroy you regardless lol

Just keep the golden rule in mind: If it ain't fun, why do it? Are you paying to be frustrated, or paying to play/enjoy yourself?
