Slowly crawling back towards the experience that is Multiboxing Mayhem
People threaten to quit all the time: "The item XY has a blue socket instead of a red one... omg bliz don't know the first thing about itemization... i'm quitting... blablabla"
It's comic when people threaten this as if they and their mates are going to make a difference to Blizzard's bottom line? Blizzard have just banned (allegedly) 300,000 accounts so it looks like they can afford to lose a few people
Someone suggested on the US forums that Blizzard had banned half a million cheaters the week that AoC came out to encourage them to go cheat in someone else's game. I'm more on the side of Murphy than Machiavelli but it would have been an inspired piece of skullduggery if it were true![]()

I think we are a lot more multiboxers than people that want to quit because of multiboxing. And as earlyer mentioned multiboxers contribute a lot more to the bottomline also, so there have to be about 3-4x more people that quits wow because of multiboxing to make any difference.
I also think that blizzard would not only lose the extra subscriptions we have, but probably all of them if they banned multiboxing, since many boxers would probably quit wow alltogether if it was banned. I know I would, and start looking for other games.
Ahhh! new jack off material, thanks!![]()

I remember the time when i didn't know about boxing. I saw 4 sham in a battle ground boxing, but i thought it was botting. I thought this because everyone was moving as one and doing the same thing. I was pissed off because it was ruing the bg. I kept writing notes to the GM saying that this person is botting. After i found out it was boxing and was legal, i was still saying how can boxing be legal (because i didn't know what boxing was), i thought that boxing = botting. The next day i did an internet search on boxing and found out what it was and this site. After reading i was like "oh, so it is one person not a computer controlling the accounts.... cool". 4 months later, here i am.
Granted i am not as thick skull as some other people, but once i knew it was a person and not a bot then i was ok with it. Now that i box myself i know how hard it is to do it. The other thing is the only way to know how to really truly beat a player is to play the class. I know how to kill a rogue easily with all my toons because i have a high level rogue and know how to play him... same goes for other classes. Like the warrior, when the symbol goes over his head i know what stance he is in because i have a warrior alt. I bet that all the high level boxers here know how to easily take down a boxer. It might not be 5v1 but you can probably do it 5v2 and have a much better chance 5v3, just because you have done boxing and know there weaknesses. I remember a post here from a dual boxing mage. He brought only 1 mage to bg and saw a 5 boxer sham. He knew what he was up against and had ideas on how to kill them. What he did was wait till the leader made a turn and he would use his dragon breathe and aoe, doing this has to make the boxer think quick and a non experienced boxer would die. The mage would have never knew this idea if he didn't box.
Sorry for the long response. Just my 2 cents.

In the thread linked above, there is a post from an alt claiming to be a guild mate of the guy who bumped the thread and threatened to quit. The alt stated that at first he was dismayed at losing a good guild mate and good person, but on reading the thread he felt that multiboxing was okay and not unfair.Originally Posted by 'Drizzit',index.php?page=Thread&postID=67082#post6 7082
Posts like that, and yours above, is why I continue to respond to the anti-MB people. I'm not trying to convince some blockhead ("I don't care what Blizzard says!!!") that he is wrong or that multiboxing is fine. I'm hoping that the readers who are on the fence-- the ones who never post, but read and consider the topics-- check things out for themselves and recognize that multiboxing is fine. And maybe they look into it and decide to do it, or decide not to, but they will support it because they think it's fine. Some of them post in those threads telling the complainers to shut up, that multiboxing is fine, etc etc.
Blizzard is not going to forbid multiboxing on a whim. They do it, they support it, they have no problems with it, they have been adamant that there is nothing unfair about it. It's been a part of MMORPGs for as long as there have been MMORPGs. People who threaten to leave for AoC or Warhammer will be bitching on those forums in a year or so (assuming they haven't returned to WoW in the meantime :whistling: ) about how multiboxers are killing the game and they will leave any day now. And those developers will tell them that multiboxing is just fine, too.

If he quits over that he's retarded and we're better off without him and his stupidity pissing in the WoW gene pool. As Magtheridon's trolls would say, he can "Go fuck himself" ;D
