CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.0 GHz
Vid: eVGA GeForce 9600GT 512MB
RAM: 2 GB DDR2 (1gb x2)
If I lower all settings on the other 4 windows, only use a few addons, would this be good enough to 5 box?

Can My Computer Run +accounts?
(Insert Computer Specs Here)
This is by far the most asked Question Here. What I tell people,
I would like to add Recommended hardware you should have.Quoted
Its hard for people to judge your system just by specs, to be honest all comps act in their own way. Best thing you can do is get trial accounts and try it for your self.

Q6600 - Recommended Processor
4GB DDR2 PC6400 - Recommended RAM
8800GT 512MB(+) - Recommended Graphics Card
Good brand 500(+)watt Power supply.
Without the above you'll only be gimping yourself if you want to do a 5 in 1.

Get more RAM. Otherwise, should be fine.Originally Posted by 'Gary13579',index.php?page=Thread&postID=66935#pos t66935
Sorry, my first post at a forum ALWAYS has to be a noob question
Well I got the PC yesterday, built everything together, and I love how fast it is (getting 60 FPS in Shatt non stop is sexy, my old PC was a slower AMD running at 2.2 GHz, single core, GeForce 6200 vid card...), but I think it's running a bit hot.
After running 4x windows (I can't seem to get a 5th trial account, keeps giving me an error message when trying to create) for about an hour, all of the cores are running at 45+ degrees (while typing this the first core hit 50 degrees, I shut down all WoW windows after that). After being left idle all night, I wake up and it's still running at 35 degrees. Is this normal? I mean it's not even overclocked yet, still running at the factory 2.4 GHz.
I'm using an Artic Cooler 7 CPU fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186134
And Artic Silver Ceramique thermal paste: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835100009
I'm fairly sure the paste was installed correctly, is there anything else I can do to cool it down?
I run around with 5 boxing on: E6600 (dual core), 8800gt, and 2gb of ram, I have to say the only thing cockblocking me is probably the ram, it maxes out at 100% usage with 5 up, I could probably do with just 3gb and it would be enough. And I only really notice a chug when I am in a densely populated area, otherwise its about 85% usage
Same Specs here ...
E6600 @ 3 Ghz and 2 Gb Ram with VISTA 32bit and a 8800 GTX : Good to play up to 3 wow at the same time with some add ons ...
Then I added two more gig of ram (my vista won't see its full capacity, what a shame !!!) and I can now play 4 wow without problems...
I'm considering adding a fifth account on the same computer.. but I think I will have to upgrade my Vista to it's 64 bit version to use the last unused gig of ram.
At this particular time when good products are EOL it could be a good thing to buy a cheap Q6600 and o/c it @ 3 Ghz... or buy a new E8400 CPU and o/c to 3.4 or more Ghz...
but now is it possible to upgrade Vista 32 to its 64 bit version without loosing anything ? (btw I love the Mac OS X feature enabling the user to reinstall its OS without erasing all the data on teh drive)
4xShamans & 4 DKs - OMG !!!!
35-45C is fine for that CPU. The 2GB may cause you to stutter while it loads things up when going into cap cities or entering BGs/instances but it should otherwise be OK.
Now playing: WoW (Garona)
