    Default Multiplicity or KaVoom

I decided to make a new thread instead of asking this in the stickied thread.

Is there anyone that have tried both? Which do you prefer and why?

If they are the same, the only other difference I can see is the price and upgrades.

KaVoom - $40 and have to pay for upgrades
    Multiplicity - $30 and free upgrades (?)

    I wish I could find Multiplicity's release notes, here's KaVoom's: http://www.kavoom.biz/k0000/KaVoom!%...e%20Notes.html
I like to see how long the software has been in development and how often the updates are to improve or fix the software.

Apologies if I step on toes as I don't know what the background context is, BUT.

Why would you pay for those when you can use Octopus and get the same thing for free? I used to use Multiplicity but ditched it shortly after discovering Octopus. No regrets, either.

I don't think that either of them support broadcasting which you would probably need to multi-box unless you're planning on doing this through another method ???

There is also the synergy compile with broadcasting built into it as well thats linked in the WIKI and is available here -> http://www.dual-boxing.com/SynergyWBroad.zip

I'm also not sure but I "thought" that keyclone could go across multiple computers as well but I could be wrong (mac user here).

I'm currently using Keyclone and completely happy with it. Just looking for a mouse-between-screens solution.

Keyclone currently does not have a mouse-between-screens solution.

I'm not looking for broadcasting mouse clicks or keys, both of those are covered by Keyclone. Just looking for a mouse-between-screens software so I was taking a look at those 2 programs.

Ah, in that case, I would probably stay away from Multiplicity. The way it disables certain keyboard inputs when you mouse over to alternate PCs drove me crazy and was the main reason I switched.

That would suck... I'll test it out with the latest version and see if it does that.

I am using Kavoom with no major issues. It is active at windows login so I can login all the pc's from one keyboard. It transfered all my keyboard commands (so far) with no issues. This includes the G15 and Xkeys.

The only issue I have seen is trapping the focus on another pc because of network tie ups. I.E. wow is loading from the file server or if I mess up keyclone. In these situations I just wait or kill the offending app and control with be restored. But these limitations are user imposed and not the fault of the software.
