    Default How to go un-noticed...

Since many of us go through the angst of being regularly harassed, or corpse camped, I thought it would be good to have a guide on how to get around as a multiboxer- undetected.
The first, most best-est method is to not multibox. Then you don't have to worry about those pesky clones showing up. Failing that, there are other options.

1.) Create an all stealth team of druids or rogues.
2.) Level engineering on all your toons just so you can dissapear for 10 secs.
    3.) CAMOFLAGE!

    I chose option 3.
Now you can see below.. and innocent Turtle and Chicken named Tooga and Stackin respectively.

Then... boom! Out of the turtle shell (yes, it was damp and smelly) jump 4 shamans. Look out would be gankers!

Too bad you can only do this escort quest once... I actually had a 50+ druid jump me. What a shock he must have had... when he was 2 (ok 10) shotted.
I spent the better part of an hour laughing on Vent with my guildies. 8) Thought I would share with you all.

The only time people notice that I'm multiboxing in BGs, is during the waiting time... and then they see the toons' names.

I saw another boxer on the opposite faction, but didn't know they were a 5-box team because he/she picked 5 unique names... instead of boxone, boxtwo, boxthree or whatever similiar names we all sometimes pick.

This post was more ...tongue-in-cheek... rather than really trying to go un-noticed. Nor is it really a guide to doing so. :P

LOL I was once in AV at spgy defending on one of my horde toons (forget which) when me and another one of the defenders notice a lone ally pet kitty just standing there up by the mines. The other defender was like "noob ne hunter forgot to put his cat in stealth I'm going to go mess him up" Much to his suprise not one but 3 ne hunters unstealthed with their cats and a rogue and druid all at the same time and raped this living crap out of him. I just whispered him with a simple "LOL".

Maybe I forgot to Pause and my alt posted too?

Default How Not To Be Seen

I do get whispers when I'm leveling low level toons dualboxing because I make them identical 'twins' for the sake of easiness. By being the same race and class (and going all out to have identical appearances) my toons are recognized as multiboxers all of the time.

On the other hand, my Belf Priest and my Troll Hunter have never once received a whisper from a stranger asking if they dual-box. So if you really don't want to be harassed but want the fun and challenge of multiboxing, I'd go with different races, different classes and/or different appearances.

(Just in case someone is using 'search' on the forums and actually looking for info on how to go 'under-cover')

ha ha! Never thought of that. Its hard to get away with 5 boxing w/o ppl noticing though. When I first started dual-boxing by alt-tabbing I was able to pass myself off as two separate people. Anyway half the fun is people's reactions... on both ends of the spectrum they are very entertaining.

Lol, I might have to try that one. I hit AV for the first time w/ this crew (lvl 51) and was having fun finding some good nuke spots. I must admit i did my fair share of charging the crowd- but that was just to motivate my allies.
