Family Alpha. The list below contains information on the current
available content available for testing and general information.
This information is subject to change.

General
- The continent of Northrend is now available! To travel there, visit
one of four transportation masters in either Orgrimmar, Undercity,
Theramore,or Menethil Harbor.
- Transportation between Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra can be found
at the Tuskarr villages in those zones.
- NPC Transportation Locations
Horde:
Undercity to Vengeance Landing (Howling Fjord)
Orgrimmar to Warsong Hold (Borean Tundra)
Alliance:
Menethil Harbor to Valgarde (Holwing Fjord)
Theramore Valiance Keep (Borean Tundra)

World Environment Zones
- The following zones are available for testing: Howling Fjord, Borean
Tundra, Dragonblight, and Grizzly Hills

Dungeons
- The following dungeons are available for testing:
Howling Fjord: Utgarde Keep (70-72)
Howling Fjord: Utgarde Pinnacle (80)
Borean Tundra: The Nexus (70-72)
Grizzly Hills: Drak’Tharon Keep (74-76)

Classes
- All Classes are available for play. Spells and talents will be
available for testing past 70 for the following classes: Druid, Mage,
Priest, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior
- The Death Knight Hero class is now available for play.
Creating a new Death Knight will start you at level 55 in Eastern
Plaguelands.
No starting quests are implemented though Death Knight abilities will
be available for testing.
Several Death Knight talents, although they will appear on the talent
pane, are not yet implemented.

Professions
- The following tradeskills are available to train up to 450: First
Aid, Herbalism, Mining, and Skinning.

Okay my turn here, did a bit of research so bear with me and let's see if this can get us anywhere (or not).

Here is what we KNOW that has been confirmed at 99%:

There were leaked infos regarding a patch as can show us Google's way of ass-caching webpages:

Click on this link, it's safe, look at the URL it's Google.com, it's nowhere near a keylogger:

http://www.google.com/search?q...e&meta=

You will get only ONE result that returns that a file patch named WoW-3.0.1.8303-to-3.0.1.8334-enGB-patch.exe DOES exist and upgrades WotLK from the build 8303 to 8334 for the enGB (European) region.

Now if you take a second to think about it and if you're used to know the naming schemes Blizzard has been using for nearly 3 years now; we can safely assume that if an enGB patch DOES exist as confirmed above, there MUST be it's enUS counterpart.

It really is simple logic, simple as that.

Okay, now onto next part, if you're familiar with the way Blizzard distributes it's patch files, you'd know they're always distributing patch files via peer to peer and that if a patch file named -patch.exe DOES exist as show above, there should be another proper -downloader.exe file to download the afformentionned patch, you're still following me there, right?

So the best guess would be that files named WoW-3.0.1.8303-to-3.0.1.8334-enUS-downloader.exe & WoW-3.0.1.8303-to-3.0.1.8334-enGB-downloader.exe are respective downloaders for the patches WoW-3.0.1.8303-to-3.0.1.8334-enUS-patch.exe & WoW-3.0.1.8303-to-3.0.1.8334-enGB-patch.exe right?

Okay, now onto the next and more interesting part, shall we?

What we know that is CONFIRMED at 100% is that the URL http://beta.worldofwarcraft.com/ exists and if you point your browser to it you will most likely get a HTTP 403 error saying you're NOT authorized to view/list/display the contents of what's on that website.

Now this is the hardest part, assuming the WoW-3.0.1.8303-to-3.0.1.8334-enUS-downloader.exe DOES exist and is available for download on the official website, all we have to do is find the correct directory structure/pathing for the file:

That's where the tricky part goes on:

If you attempt to do a http://beta.worldofwarcraft.co...-downloader.exe you will also get a HTTP 403 error, denied.

From this point, speculations could go wild and you could always do a random guess of smart/obvious keywords such as:

What does it exactly means? does it means I have guessed the RIGHT location for the file but then I'm not authorized to download the file?

Not sure, but I could tell you the speculations could go on and on and on.

Not sure if anyone familiar with Blizzard schemes of directory/tree structuring can get anything out of this but in case you do, feel free to post a reply here with any interesting findings you may do...

Alrightly.. the warrior stuff is questionable (whirlwind thing has me calling fake!), but the Warlock stuff?

* Metamorphosis - "You transform into a Demon, with full health and mana. While in Demon Form, you gain Demonic abilities and your armor is increased to 360%, but your pet no longer is summoned."
* When leaving Demon Form, your health and mana is returned back to normal and your pet is re-summoned. Lasts $d.

Umm, what? Demon form with no drawbacks when you switch out? Uh.... no.

Well I'm going to assume that if this was real it would be at the end of the demo tree and given the buffage that your pets bring you in the demo tree, losing your pet while in form would be a drawback. Would it be enough of a drawback to not make this OP? /shrug


EDIT: Ah you're talking about the switch out. Well it may be on a long CD. In WC3 Illidan's demon form wasn't a spammable thing.

Totally Agree with that. I had wished they'd of put in new classes in TBC instead of new races, but it's always easy to say that until you realize how long it's taken them to get the classes they have where they are now. I do think it sucks its just the ONE, because EVERYONE will be a DK at launch, especially with the "requirements" (or lack thereof) they have now.

Oh dear god...I Don't even know where to begin...assuming it's true...oh lord...resto buffs that benefit boomkin...2h + shield warrs(OH GOD FACESMASHING AND SPELL REFLECT IN ONE SPEC), time-warping Shamen...walrusmen...riding warp shifters(Which makes no sense if it's not bought in outland...Warp Shifters don't exist on Azeroth let alone in Northrend...now an Abominable Snow-Murloc mount, I'd buy that.)...lord I can't even say anything about it beyond that it seems too good to be true lol

When TBC came out, before I got my copy of BC, I took my NE Rogue to the portal to Ghostlands in EPL; I couldn't zone into Ghostlands without BC, but I did camp the portal for awhile, hoping to catch some lost little BEs who didn't know there was a tele in Silvermoon(and alot didn't); gank 'em as they zone into EPL, "WELCOME(back?) TO AZEROTH YOU PINK-SKINNED GIRLY BITCHES! Love, The Night Elves, your cooler cousins."; I killed many an elf that day. I was pleased.

TBC did get new races. Shaman for Alliance and Paladins for Horde. Not the answer you were expecting I'm sure, but it did change the game for quite a few people.

Blood Elves are a bunch of crazy drug addicts that will kill you and your entire family to score some smack. I'd take them over pansy ass night elves any day.

Dranei females though... I can get behind that if you catch my drift.
