LOL...so many times I've done this. Mine are usually more of a "Oh, I'll ignore that. I can kill whatever just aggro'd me. I AM INVINCIBLE!!!" Hehe...and then I realize it's that scarlet patrol in EPL or something similar. Funny stuff.

Yesterday two of my lvl 15s were doing Supplies for the Crossroads and got into such a mess due to my over confidence. For a minute I actually thought I would survive but finally had to sit back and laugh as they died while a half dozen mobs swarmed all over them. I just went totally spaz with my buttons and gave up. lol, I think we have all been there. I died the 3rd pull of my first "solo" instance.

Little has changed since I got the Ergodex back in August and I am very pleased with the setup. My left hand stays on the Nostromo most of the time. I only use two layers on the Nostromo and have one key to toggle. I use the rocker pad on the Nostromo for strafing and forward/back. I reach over to the G15 for system ops and to emote or chat but I play solo 99.9% of the time and avoid chat. My right hand stays on the trackball. The Ergodex is used to control the alt character and does a fine job. If I get in a bind or need better control, one key of the Nostromo will switch full control to the alt character and another will switch back to the main. I tried a single key to toggle but didn't like it. I've stopped broadcasting because there is just no need with only two characters on this setup.

Here's a pic of the keyboard setup with a few labeled.

Edit: The big Kensington trackball is only used when Multiplicity won't let me get over to comp 2 for whatever reason.
I've got something to show ya!

I've used the Logitech Trackman marble, I loved them back in Ultima ONline but after wearing out my 4th one in 3 years and they stopped making that model for about 3 years I switched back to mice.

Old thread I know, but have to comment.... trackball mice, IMHO, are the best way to go for gaming. Control is excellent, response time to turn rate is faster than you would get with a regular mouse. What makes it even better is that for multiboxers two of these babies can be side by side and take up very little room!

Both my Logitech trackball mice (the ones pictured in the first thread) sit on a mouse pad, that's how much room they take up!

I've been using one of these big trackballs for a couple years now. I love it, I used to have some repetitive stress issues with my wrist with the mouse and this fixed it for me.

I used the Logitech trackball mice for at least 10 years, until I started playing WoW. Was apparent that 3-4 buttons wasn't gonna cut it. Switched to the MX1000, and love it. 10+ buttons, and all very convenient except the middle mouse button. I gave up my N52 for the new Saitek equivalent(black model), and it's great. More buttons, just as comfy, shift states bind to mouse buttons, etc.
