I play this as well, not much atm with BC out but in the next couple months I will likely go back to playing it more.
Who else does as well?![]()

Oh, I am currently 6boxing this.
Defiler/Guardian/Wizzy/Inq/Dirge/Coercer.
Wish I had another scout in place of the wizzy, but it's too hard to drive the guy into positioning w/o pathing him into the other mobs.
JesDyr?!?!! say something dude, you and your 3 box....
:P
I started 3 boxing EQ2 .. Coercer(70 mentored), wizzy, and warlock. I play coercer really well so this just gives me insane DPS without really changing my playstyle.
But I just looked at the original post and .. well it is from March ? .... Inire, stop digging up the past![]()
but... but....
post count.
/sigh.
Hmm, strange combination, the classes don't really benefit each other muchOriginally Posted by inire
I used to dualbox coercer and wizzy (illus and wiz probably more effective, but I don't like Qeynos or Kelethin), and the only thing that really limited me was repops, as I needed some space to move. I controlled both characters individually though, and it's my impression that this is what most boxers in EQ2. How do you control them? Do you have some way of distributing one key press to all six characters, or do you control each one by themselves? In the latter case your group seems sound, as it has massive buffs towards the guardian, which would probably be your main, but the wizard seems like a waste of space, as I can't imagine you'd get time to use it much, and a pet class would be more beneficial.
I tried the whole fighter/healer a few times, but was too slow dps wise for me, and alas, I couldn't afford moving up to 3 boxing or higher![]()
Well, cool!
The group is a main tank group, with the wizzy for DPS and moving around.
The wizzy gets yanked, and another player (briggie) gets put in there.
Plus, I'm lazy, and I wanted to start them all in the same area, so they're all evil. Eventually, I'll move the Inq to a Temp when I hit cap.

Well, i don't like the good side either lol. Coercer and Wizzy would be great for two boxing.
I'm using 6 Nostromos. Sad, but true. I arrange them in a star config, and only use three buttons, but i still look vaguely like a piano player!
I am planning on a DPS group eventually... not sure what to do there, thinking necro/conj/wizzy/warlock/defiler/trubador.... What do you think?
With 6 nostromos..you're already closer to getting a multiplexer and not have to make a tri-pod out of your fingers
I used to roll like you - but to be an effective boxer, do multicasters either through software (keyclone) / hardware (vetras).
Yeah, but....
i'm soooo waiting on the vetra thing.
can't stand ps/2 crap.
Vetra PS/2 is not crap :cry:Originally Posted by inire

Software tends to lag too much for my taste and you still get the same problems you have with PS/2.
I had planned on making some custom software to run on a cheap control PC, then use serialkeys on the slaves, but now that I know Vetra is "close" to having the USB multiplexer, I will wait.
