Default 2 New Monitors. I need help now.

So I have a total of 3 monitors now.

    1x 22in Viewsonic
    2x 22in Acer

    Running DualCore.
    4gigs mem
    Windows XP

    2x 8600 GTS Superclocked.

I normally ran 4 accounts on 1 monitor useing SLI. But got 2 more monitors today, turned off SLI so they can work, but now I have increased lag in game. What could be causing this?

    1 wow 1 screen
    1 wow 1 screen
    2x wows 1 screen.

Do I need to loser the crap out of the graphics on all my games now? Any suggestions?

Your system used to have 2 GPUs and 1 screen, so each GPU only had to process half a screens worth of load.

Now 1 GPU has to handle 1 screen, and the other GPU handles 2 full screens.

Effectively, you doubled and quadrupled your GPU load, of course you are going to see drastic reduction in performance. Have you experienced higher heat, or screen artifacts?

Nothing short of buying stronger video cards will fix your problem.

See what I do not understand is, I was able to 4box using just one of those cards.
I have not noticed higher heat, nor have not seen any screen artifacts.

Would two of these be good enough?

I would personally get dual 8800gt.

    Cheaper, faster I believe.

wow...you running all of this from one CPU? This is the reason I went with 2 laptops or 2 CPU's. Eventually to 4 machines maybe 5 8) depends on how much money i feel like spending . But you get the idea? I believe the only way you can reduce lag is to do what some here have done and that is to link your data folder to one account.

Each account has a data folder in it that is about 8MB thick(not sure if that is correct but the point is it is huge). Which means every account you have on your machine is trying to access that folder at the same time.

You can reduce your lag by turning everything down on your alt toons as well.

This may be an issue with xp using......Dual view? I can't remember what it is called. But I have read that some people have been having issues with running dual moniters with XP.

What kind of performance drop are you seeing. How many FPS?
