If they're not minimized I think it takes a lil more CPU power but at the same time minimimizing them may starve them of necessary power, + make it a tad hard to turn stuff in when you need to I personally just stack 4 up @ 1024x768, default start position, and the main is windowed fullscreen @ 1280x1024
