    Default Warlock mutlibox leveling spec

So I have a Warlock in my group. I am wondering what the best spec is for leveling an a multi-class multi-boxing group. Currently I have her speced Afflicition. I do have a mage and have considered specing her Destruction. I also have thought about Demonology for the Fel Guard. So what do you guys think?

    Thanks

affliction is prolly the worst spec, cause stuff will die so fast your dots wont get their full potential...i went destructo with mine when i hit 70, but i used a felguard until then cause they rock!

Let them hate, as long as they fear.

Second on Demo. For a leveling boxer, the group utility of the demo spec is probably worth losing some dps.

The Felguard is a decent chunk of fire-and-forget damage for most fights. FG can also off-tank on multiple pulls, which can be an effective form of CC. You can also spec into improved imp to squeeze more out of blood pact (when you're not rolling with the FG). Demo also gives you the opportunity to improve your healthstones.

Well depends on whether yeh wanna aoe or do allot of dps to a single target.
I tend to lean more to aoeing when ever possible.

good spec, get demonic sacrifice sack an imp for 15% fire damage . get yer pali round up as many critters as yeh can handle park em. start the mage aoeing after the second consecrate after yeh parked the pali, have the warlock Hellfire. make sure yer able to retarget the priest to heal the warlock

For low lvl it might even be viable to take master conjuror for the firestone but once yeh get something half decent to fill that slot I'd get rid of it.

one of the things I've found is that its a whole lot easier to get shadow damage then fire damage making affliction/demo more appealing.

Just wait till yeh get Seed of Corruption thing just start dropping like flys :P

very interesting, i am currently in the 20's and going affliction, i like the speedy corruption and improved drain life. was thinking of making one demo, but will likely respec a few times to test out different things. i've leveled locks before and fel domination is also good in a pinch. in all honesty i wanted to push it and i didn't even give them armor or assign talent points until level 17, basically wanted to see how well i could survive "naked and dumb" heh heh.

I misread this post initially and came up with a whole startegy for a multi warlock group - doh!!!. I now want to multi box warlocks

In answer to your question - I would go destruction.

With 5 players targeting mobs the mobs die too quick for your dots to run. On a boss (or elite) then affliction would rock, or if you had a way of having your lock dotting up multiple targets independent of the others then affliction would be good.

However if you are mainly going to burn down single targets, definitely destro.

same here then i realized that as a lock it can really go so many ways in a group. destruction is certainly an attractive option when paired with certain classes....just make sure to stock up on shards and set the drain soul to flow with something as a "finisher" at times if that's possible.

have tried Affliction, demo and Destro on my locks

For leveling pre 50 I would chose affliction. The trick is to just dot them with Siphon lifex4+Corruptionx3 and CoEX. Jus fire and forget, then you just run towards next mob and dot. Dont mind the mobs hitting you, it will heal up with siphon life. I prefer this way, since with destro you have to stop and nuke. With this and preferably with a priest healer you can just run and kill nonstop, and you will have close to zero downtime.

When you reach lvl 50, respec felguards. This is very good for aoe grinding. Let the felguards catch some agro, then go in and hellfire lots of mobs down You can still use the dot-tactics when you are in a less dense populated area and questing.
