can't "read" the new patch?

When i attempt to log on through my original wow files i get this message.


The file "/Applications/Wow/World of Warcraft.app" could not be read. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (CompareVersion)


I am on a Mac and when i went to tri-boxing i just copied the whole folder two more times.


Seems like a pain to have to wipe all the files and reinstall it all again... i will have to download ALL the patch material again from scratch... this seems like even more of a pain to have to do every patch. This has never happened before i began the tri-boxing... but of course that doesn't, in and of itself, mean they are causally related. I am just working from the assumption that they might be.


Any advice or help?
