Hmm, interesting.
He bubbled and tried to heal, but not enough heal--it could definitely mean he's not holy spec.
I'm Prot Spec, and I build a Ret spec from arena and honor. When I got about the world, I put on my ret-pvp set. My dps is not really good while on ret gear and prot spec, but I can last some, and heal a few. With 4 hunters and 4 pets, incoming damage would be fast without a shield, and other neat PvE tricks (block trinket for heals for instance). And hunter draining mana, a pally with no mana = dead pally.
He was ganked, and thus unprepared. Good job on killing him 4 on 1. The 6 level difference is negligible in PvP. My 3 shamans at 63 killed a 70 mage at the time. /shrug.
He came back prepared and with a 70 warlock, and you chose to focus fire on the pally (most likely a tank) and you ignored the high dps warlock. But you were too late to switch as you unloaded on the pally which was negated by a bubble. And I bet he hit the warlock with Lay On Hand instead of Holy Light spam.
I would save Divine shield on my self, and BoP on a caster dps. Other than viper sting, I can probably wittle down 4 hunters and 4 pets but going after the non-main guy one at the time, with Judged Justice, and Seal of Light/Seal of Wistom. The passive blocks form Holy SHield and Ret Aura and Bless of Sanctuary will kill the pets in time.
